One thing to keep in mind about this game too is that Wofford runs the same offense as Tech. It is not inconceivable that Mike Ayres can coach his team how to defend it reasonably well.

That may not have been the term limit for the online classes he was doing as well. If he became miraculously eligible on Tuesday, I would be willing to bet the NCAA would have compliance officers at Tech by lunch.
Accepting the credits should only be relevant if he wanted to apply them to a Tech degree. Credit acceptance by Tech has nothing to do with him graduating or transferring. To my knowledge, there is no amount of credits needed to transfer in. And if there was, they could not let him practice...
It is not to sit out a year. It is not for a standard transfer, wait a year then play. Whitehead was aiming for option one and ended up with option two.
