Isn't Hamm in his 40's? The size and speed at all positions is significantly different today than it was at that point in time. I am certainly not saying that he is too small, but comparing a QB from 1-AA school from 20 years ago isn't an apples to apples comparison.
For the O-Line: spend 4 dedicated periods each day on pass protection. If that means practice is 30 minutes longer, make it happen. The QB and receivers can work on the 2 minute drill during this time EVERY day.
It is an absolute fact that GOL ran a much tighter ship than Chan when it came to class attendance. Checks from academic advisors decreased significantly when Chan started. Chan's approach was to "treat you like a man". O'Leary ruled with an iron fist but you cannot argue with the results.
Who has the best, most physical, most fundamentally sound O-Line in the country? If our coaches spend any time on another campus, it should be the school that fits this description.

I would venture to guess that PJ is much softer than we think. His public persona is one thing but his teams don't see to play with an edge or a nastiness. Could you EVER forsee George O'Leary bringing a freaking ice cream truck onto the practice field during camp? Further illustrates...
