  1. What made the Cremins years so special?

    The assembling of GREAT players.
  2. We Close the 2023 Regular Season at BC

Yep--the man has been a revelation. His history/record before was a hint to this but the last half of season has been a breakout into all-conf level and the key to our improvement...A triple double from a Ctr! Several double/doubles.You can see the confidence in play as a SR (same with Terry)...
  3. GT @ Syracuse 2/28/23 GAME THREAD

I must be dreaming.I checked the game results and was amazed. Those stats were CRAZY.A triple -double guy ,3 pt %, asst/TOs , and an AWAY game. Probably too little too late with the thin bench but much better than not.Just wow.
  4. Brent Key on instilling a culture of toughness at Georgia Tech

yep-When that happens the Rback usually on the next run starts to flinch and not run hard.I know from experience.
  5. GT vs Louisville (2/25/23) - SENIOR DAY GAME THREAD

Not as good as Tech's but he is in school here somehow--and doing GREAT.Wish he were here next yr.
  6. Brent Key on instilling a culture of toughness at Georgia Tech

When Key made the comment about now scrimmaging during week, I knew he was serious and the culture was going to change. AND--that Spring "game " touch football crap was a great example of that.
  7. Jose

The ONLY undrafted player in the Rising stars game.Hits the winning shot and named MVP.This dude is OFF the charts in a dream.
  8. If you had a wish list for AD JB what would it be?

I wonder is actually someone in the AA that even thinks about these type of things much less has the pull to implement them.
  9. Special Teams Coordinator

Some teams have a "less -strong "punter specialist (if your main puntter is too strong--hmmmm) to pooch the ball down to about ten yd line or so.The main skill is kicking it high about 35 yds-gives the PR the chance to fumble ball and gives our coverers time to get down. Its not rocketscience.
  10. Special Teams Coordinator

Thanks. In hi school I was the lone pass blocker in the back.NEVER had a punt blocked. Its not the same-- but gee whiz!!!!
  11. GT-VT game thread.

I'm sorry but but Javon looked like a keeper from the start--much quicker and skilled than Howard. Why JP couldn't see this I don't know since he was very capable at S.Ala. Howard has always been the classic backup CTr.Come in for short spurts with energy to bang and clog middle. oh,well better...
  12. Special Teams Coordinator

You left out my favorite--blocking for a punter. What happened last yr bordered on the unbelieveably incompetent.
  13. Special Teams Coordinator

It seems I heard that the HEAD coach did it.I bet the players listened to him and his plans..
  14. Special Teams Coordinator

I'm not sure how you do 2 fball jobs well .with STs being one.You MIGHT be get away with it if you have a bunch of returnees. STs is too important to just hand-over to "another coach".
  15. If you had a wish list for AD JB what would it be?

I hear U.Ala is passing on in -state kids for out-of -state tuition kids.
  16. GT @WF, 2/11/23 Pre and Post Game

Interesting you mention the Princeton offense.I watched Air Force ( 7-14) play vs their league leaders (17-7) and run the Princeton Off.They (AF) got more backdoor cut baskets in 3 minutes than we get in a whole game. Just weak coaching by JP. Do better with it or go to something else.
  17. Notre Dame at GT

Yep, amazing when you have a scoring and active CTR.
  18. Notre Dame at GT

A bit odd in that if he gets fouled he's not that good on FTs.I would have Terry drive.
  19. Biggest Addition This Offseason

May not be "biggest addition" (the LBs are), but surely a welcome talent..
  20. Quick, Harris and Chimedza end their football careers

There goes more OL depth at least. Not good.
