Talk about missing the entire point. But that is typical Deion.
None of these players and their movement are about being bigger than the game or that the games won't go on - not one of them has mentioned that. It is about the right to expect those in charge to provide a safe environment in...
This is HS level but updates on HS sports start dates in some states.

Mountain West players are the latest to band together
https://sports.yahoo.com/mountain-west-athletes-release-list-of-demands-conference-says-issues-have-already-been-addressed-040202593.html
Typical list of demands at this point. mandatory testing, extensive cleaning of facilities, no liability...
The reason I mentioned the OL/DL is that they are literally in each others faces on every play. That is different from QB, RB, WR, LB, secondary who all play in a little more space and don't necessarily have alot of contact on every play.
Player opt outs seem to be picking up steam. It is obvious from the last 5 days that the concern level among student-athletes is higher than we realized. I think some of that is because Universities are limited in what they can say from a HIPAA standpoint and it also really isn't in their best...
It's going to be interesting to see how many 1st round guys decide to opt out. He is at least the fourth likely 1st round pick to say he is sitting out and the 3rd of CBSSports Top 10 prospects.
A few updates.
Penn St has announced that it will have no fans at games this year (this due to PA state regulations of no more than 25 at an indoor event and no more than 250 at an outdoor event).
Ohio announced last week no fans at NFL, college and HS football games.
Navy - Notre Dame game...
I was watching a video with Dan Wetzel and Pete Thamel last night before I went to bed that was taped on Monday. Thamel said he started hearing whispers on Friday and really dug into the player movement over the weekend. First, he said the coaches were and are largely unaware of what the players...
It seems like in baseball that it is much more an issue of infection within a team, not across teams. That makes sense given how baseball is structured and played.
Football will definitely be more difficult in that respect, with players literally touching each other, breathing, spitting, etc...
If anyone is interested here is a list of players who have opted out so far. I'm assuming this will be updated as more happen

Also, Wake and App St have agreed to postpone their game for...
College football is going to be the hardest sport to make work for a multitude of reasons we have discussed before.
Right now i'm sort of thinking the odds of getting the season started is just over 50% (you know the AA's want to play really bad - as does ESPN and FOX who both need the ad...
American approves 8 game conference schedule with up to 4 OOC games.
https://sports.yahoo.com/aac-approves-plan-to-start-football-season-with-8-conference-games-as-originally-scheduled-184940680.html
NCAA punted on making a decision about fall championships. Laid out requirements divisions have to meet to have championships but gave each division the right to decide on its own by Aug 21st if they are going to hold them. Div III went ahead and immediately cancelled. My opinion is that Div II...
PAC12 looks like it is the first conference trying to figure out how they will have the AA's survive if the season is cancelled.
PAC12 is offering schools $83M loan with a 3.75% interest rate if the season is cancelled. Sounds like the loan is being collateralized by the TV Contract...
B10 players are the latest to issue demands (some have already been announced by the conference). Over 1,000 B10 football players listed on the letter.

Just an FYI, NCAA is supposed to announce a decision today on Fall Championships.
Also, does anyone else think at this point the ACC should just announce that it is going to play a 10 game conference schedule. It was pretty clear that the plus 1 was created just so the SEC would have to take...
What i find interesting right now is that the ACC (and probably the B12) are the conferences being most aggressive about trying to play. Both are hoping to start very close to normal.
SEC and PAC12 have delayed starting until Sept 26 and SEC has announced they aren't going to be having a normal...
