Remember when charles barkley said the Pac-12 was gonna surprise some people... guess he meant surprise us with how quickly all of their teams fell out of the tournament... now is the time to bet on the first 16 vs 1 seed upset.
also... is this about to be the worst tournament for Izzo ever?
FSU lost to Valpo and honestly if its between them I'd rather face UGA so we can beat them and avenge that nonsense earlier in the year. But I'd also be ok if we made it to the finals and they didn't making VPI equally ok for a vengeance win.
I wouldn't necessarily call them a bad team. They lead their conference in scoring and finished the season with back to back wins over Cincinnati and Uconn. Also have wins over SMU and LSU (and if you want to include other NCAA teams Temple and Tulsa).
damn that is a rough matchup . yikes, but if we get the MGH we've seen down the stretch we can win. lets pack McCamish and use that home court advantage
Lol. Was specifically thinking of UConn vs Syracuse game while watching this enter the 4th OT. How either team could move by the time the 6th OT rolled around is beyond me.
Agreed, I like CBG as a person, and I wished he had been more successful because of that fact, but you have to do what's best for the program. It'll be interesting to see if he gets another year or not.
Doesn't mean much (outside of a moral victory), but I take solace in the fact that we were the only lower seed to advance in the ACC tournament with VT losing to Miami
Get em Cuse!

I still think we are probably going to have to beat UVA to get in (maybe even a close game would peak the committee's interest) but our RPI was updated to 63 last night and above multiple teams being talked about on the bubble including michigan syracuse and ohio state and right on the heels of...
