Well, I am rooting for a huge lead early so we can get MJ a ton of snaps. If he is going to be our back up until Timmy gets back, that could potentially carry over to next week and Notre Dunce. We need him more ready rather than less, especially getting snaps with the 1's and developing some timing.
A couple thoughts to add.
We need Shamire to be able to play every snap of the game unless his coaches want him out. That is the bottom line. His failure to get ready to do so would simply be him putting selfish pleasures ahead of the team. He signed to go here. He needs to support the team to...
MJ has the tools to be a good QB. Having watched him a few times now, I wouldn't say he lacks a knowledge of the offense or ability to make reads. However, I would say he has yet to develop the pocket poise and ability to see the field that a good QB needs. Things were still way too fast for him...
Some of you guys are way under-reporting the amount of time that JN missed injured. Just going from memory, JN pulled a hammy against MSU and was out for a few games. He was knocked out of the FSU game for a while before the miracle on North avenue. We stalled out when Jaybo came in. He was...
The only thing I trust completely is my own eyes. Since I have never seen CC take a snap and have been limited to watching MJ for a spring game, I am put in the humbling position of having no opinion. Gotta go with whatever the coaches have planned and take a deep breath until I know. Having TB...
The biggest message I got from the Alcorn St. game is that we are committed to playing aggressive defense all year. That has been dictated from the top. I agree with this strategy totally.
In prior years, against the early cupcake, we would have played vanilla and sat back on our heels, hoping...
Those are all facts, no doubt. I don't wan't to become on of their first 5 for this season. Can't take them lightly. Have to expect a tough contest. I love our guys.
This file is GOLD. I enjoyed listening to our crew sooooo much more. It really adds a lot for me. I gotta find a way to make this my usual practice for away games.
I have been pretty consistent in saying this, and I will say it again without reservation. I would take TW to run my flexbone offense before I would take JN. Before your brain explodes, I am not saying I don't like JN or that I don't think he was good. We all know JN was a warrior. I just think...
Generally I agree. However, I will add a clarifying point. Many other offenses heavily rely on superior physicality or speed to work. They all try to put a defense at a disadvantage schematically to some degree, but the closer you get to the pro style, the more you are counting on imposing your...
Don't sell Byerly's importance to our season and our program short. I can't believe some of the stuff I am hearing. It is rare that a season goes by where a #2 isn't needed at some point.
