  1. Tony Zenon Update

This might be better suited for the "Living Section" in the AJC.
  2. You know the feeling.

Agree 100%. Could be the best fit ever or no real advantage. No one knows, so lets go with a positive attitude and support, instead of the normal Tech wailing " all is lost" attitude!!!
  3. WSB RADIO UGA BIAS

Heard a clip this a.m. on WSB re:the Masters from Jay Black. He touted the number of ugag golfers in the Masters headed by Bubba and 6 other golfers from ugag. He concluded with "meanwhile Tech has only two, Kuchar and Mize". They can't resist taking a shot whenever possible.
  4. 1984 Victory over UGA in Athens

Solicitor, looking back over the Johnson era 08-15 his regular season record is 62 & 44 .585%. Withthe teams Ipointed out: Clemson/ugag/Miami/NC/VT/Virginia, Johnson's regular season record is 19 & 28. No bowl games are included in these figures. As PJ would say, "it is what it is".
  5. 1984 Victory over UGA in Athens

I don't think you're being entirely honest with yourself re: competing, so we will just have to disagree on this one.
  6. Whose It Gonna Be?

No! Hopefully Tech can do better than Hunter.
  7. Whose It Gonna Be?

Capel "withdrawing" is a good sign for Drew. Unless there is a much bigger name out there that hasn't made up their mind if they have been offered.
  8. 1984 Victory over UGA in Athens

WOW,thanks Old South! Just to hear Al Ciraldo on WGST again was classic! What with being 73 and a Tech fan forever I've seenTech football from being the "The Game" every Saturday to now almost irrelavant now. To answer your question now, I don't think Tech can compete day in and out with...
  9. The Search

After all that has been, and will be said about future coaching, this makes the most sense.
  10. Okay folks its time

Tough decision, what with the team playing so well now. But, that being said, if Bobinski has a hot new coach that is ready to commit, pull the trigger. He ( the new guy) could capitalize on this winning streak and Tech benefit greatly.
  11. GT in the NIT

Ha! this one made me LOL .Only a Tech fan would really get this !!!!
  12. CPJ Spread Option Backfield Checklist

Sounds way to involved, too much thinking, not enough time to access the information, if someone misses a block the play may end badly!
  13. Official Offseason Thread

CPJ might give a recruit a phone call.
  14. GT in the NIT

Wow, the biggest post season win since 1985! Don't think so, there's been several better one's since then.
  15. GT vs Louisville Tuesday 3/1 8PM EST

Tech had a slight chance if that last 3 by Smith had went in. Proud of the team sticking with it in a tough enviornment. IMO, too many offensive rebounds by L'ville in the 2nd half. Got to win Saturday for any chance in the NIT. Play hard Tech!!
  16. Boston College - 2/27

Too close for comfort! Right now I will settle for an NIT bid for the players so they could say were still playing!!
  17. GT-ND

These guys deserved a win like this! They have given up a few wins at the last minute enough times this year!
  18. Recruiting Budgets

Yea, that. Pepper's teams always ran up 400- 600 yds. every game and 40's and 50's points per game. They never had a good defense and just had to out score the competition, but for some reason the games were always fun!
  19. Recruiting Budgets

Yea Buzz, Pepper was fun and his teams were always fun to watch. I also think players liked playing for him. On his Sunday TV show, even though Tech lost, he woud have a smile on his face and and say the sun would come up tomorrow and we have another game next week! For the younger posters on...
  20. Recruiting Budgets

OK dressed, you said it," most recruits aren't interested in what we have to offer" to me at least, that includes the TO. No sure pathway to the NFL if that's what they want to accomplish, in addition to getting an education.
