Absolutely I know what you mean and it makes good sense, except both JT and Tim both sat for several possessions in the second half and I didn't think that the sub that played QB was the heir apparent to Byerly. Now that I think about it, however, whoever takes over as the second team QB next...
Boomer, you're the best. Thanks for the coverage.
One question: Who do you think will move into Byerly's place next year and shouldn't we be giving him some game experience this year?
Good days indeed. I recall running out from my dorm room on Sunday mornings to get the paper so I could read what Jesse and Furman had to say about the Tech victory the previous day. Cost the outrageous price of 25 cents for the Sunday edition...half of it was advertising...but it was worth it...
This, plus the fact that by the end of the ND game or earlier CPJ will have an excellent feel for this offense's true capabilities and will call plays accordingly.
The article contains my opinion exactly:
"...this team deserves a lot more respect than it ever seems to get."
However, IMHO, this often plays to our advantage. :cigar:
Yep. This is always a concern at the beginning of every season, which is a great reason for playing weaker teams up front. (Like Duke last year...oh, wait... :inpain:)
