Notre Dame will not be a cake walk . . .

That has to be a joke. And that is why I am pretty confident about GT's chance in this game at this time. JT has proven that running the offense in warp speed adds another dimension. 4 weeks of prep did not help MSU's defense much, much less Klimpsun, & UGA.

    Dissappointed with fan experience

Yes, Jerry, it is. Everywhere you go. Let's just be glad we're not mandated to pay Coke-slingers $15/hr for now. Agreed. Once you accept what things cost and either get over it or just choose not to buy it, you can be happier. Living in DC, I can't wait to drop some money in Hooville to...

    Tulane is Next

As somebody else stated in another thread, we'll never know what defensive scheme was called, as JH played like his job was to contain the line against the run, and he drew many double-teams. On one LB blitz play he cleared out a very nice lane for Davis. Doing all that is a very quiet impact...

Notre Dame will not be a cake walk . . .

I disagree and think Boomer's comment above really is the most appropriate response this comment, Slugie. I suggest reading it.

    Tulane is Next

Yup. That pretty much covered everything about the Tulane game. Sorry Boomer. I just don't think the Tulane game will tell us much. I want to see a clean game from GT, continued improvement, and the young 'uns get some reps. Aside from that, what is there really to discuss unless you're...

Notre Dame will not be a cake walk . . .

I'll bet that most of us think that ND is perennially over-rated. My current "guesstimate" would be they are in the 20-35 range of rankings.

Notre Dame will not be a cake walk . . .

I think we'll get another reading of ND next week against UVa & Tah-Noo-Tah. GT will roll against Tulane so we'll still wonder about the GT D a bit. But both Herbie & Corso now say GT will beat ND so that's pretty much a lock.

    Dare we expect?

Like he would really know. It could very well be the most talented and athletic team he's ever coached, though. The crash will be epic.

    ESPN with a little love

What would be somewhat funny is if GT jumps a couple of teams in the polls. We're all here trying not to read to much into a typical destruction of an FCS foe, because we've seen it before, but the media gets all goo-goo ga-ga about it. As most of us seem to agree, GT looked more prepared and...

Way too early analysis - GT v. Alcorn

Well that didn't take long. And so begins the tempering of high praise and expectations.

Offensive Line Play (one game in)

I watched the replay last night and was specifically watching Shamire. I LOL'd on at least 2 occasions where it looked like he just fell forward and pancaked 2 defenders in a pile. I also noticed that when he pulled and ran east-west it wasn't always a thing of beauty. :p

Way too early analysis - GT v. Alcorn

I agree that Alcorn wasn't "with it" offensively. We'll never know if the GT D had anything to do with that. I wouldn't be so sure about Tulane though. They got shutout by Dook, whom I don't consider being as good as last year, for the 1st 3 quarters. Real displays of power in that game. I...

    Nicknames

Just like the team can have their nicknames, we can have ours.

    Nicknames

That and because you pronounce Skov with a long o, like it's stated "Stove" on the roster. So now GT can hit them with The Stove - an old cast iron wood burning type.

    Marcus Allen

I think so and you're probably right, but things happen for a reason, and we got a great feel for all 3 BB and possible roles IMO.

    Patrick Skov

I think he almost tripled his career yards and almost matched (1 short?) career TDs in one game.

Way too early analysis - GT v. Alcorn

You're probably right, but the QB situation didn't help.

Way too early analysis - GT v. Alcorn

And then the guy who didn't really want to run a spread option offense showed up.

    Marcus Allen

Good sign. He looked really down & disappointed when leaving the field last night. It really showed.
