Nine wins a year (minimum) is a 0.750 percentage win rate. The ONLY FBS teams to do that on a consistent basis are Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, and Oklahoma. Alabama and Ohio State both achieved a 0.731 win rate, but no other team has ever achieved a long-term 0.750 win rate. It...

Last night was what our fanbase needed. Absolutely electric environment!

I would say, “relax”. The video of the LSU-UT game showed a mostly empty Death Valley. Winning is a wonderful thing.

    AD Candidate List

Sorry, but there is no one who is glad Greene is gone except those with no clue.

    AD Candidate List

Wrong on multiple levels. Gogue engineered Harsin's hiring, and once Gogue was gone, Greene lost his support. He wasn't fired. He resigned.

    AD Candidate List

    It's Greene.

    AD Candidate List

I'm not advocating one way or the other for Greene. Harsin was not his decision. I think Greene is a far better AD than Stansbury but whatever.

    Would I hire Greene? Yes.

    AD Candidate List

AD Greene was held in very high regard by AD's in general and the Auburn community as a whole. He has his own views and did not kow tow to special interests. He's done a solid job across all sports except football. Why football? The outgoing president stepped in after Malzahn's firing and...

Coming soon to GT: Corporate sponsorships and new names for football field and basketball gym

Tech should really think about this before selling out to any high bidder. Auburn went through a branding project before coming up with calling the basketball arena, The Jungle. It’s one of the most difficult places for opponents to play because of the noise and student section. Done right, it...

The students love him. He's very engaged in the school, visible and enjoys living here. Still, rumors link him already to jobs back West and it's rumored his daughter has already moved back to Boise.

Mendenhall and Helton might be interesting. Malzahn? One of the reasons he got canned at AU was his inability to prepare SA's for a possible NFL career and that, in turn, hurt recruiting. I don't think he would have any interest in GT but if we hired him, you can pretty much say good-bye to...

I’m not advocating for or against Harsin. But he doesn’t run the football team. Jimmy Raine does. It’s a political mess.

Bryan Harsin will soon become available. I suspect Brent Key, if wins 3-4 games, will get the job.

Just recalling the recent firings, the factories are all recruiting new head coaches amongst themselves. I don't think Tech can get any coach from a Top 25 program, but things begin to open up after that.

I'm saying he sucks. But folks were high on him as an up and comer, just like Chadwell.

I know it wasn't you, but I recall similar thoughts expressed about Scott Satterfield before he left App State (51-24, 38-10 in conference) to go to Louisville (20-22, 12-17 in conference). The best indicator of success in almost any position, is previous experience in that position. If we want...

    “Competing” open Head Coaching jobs

While you may be right from a purely Big Time College Athletics point of view, there are a lot of coaches who would be very happy to NOT have to deal with that and just coach competitive football at a decent level. Not every coach wants to be in the CFB every year.

    “Competing” open Head Coaching jobs

The GT job is a P5 job. That alone makes it desirable. Coaches I know evaluate the job just like you would any other. Create a spreadsheet with categories for current/future talent, fanbase, admin support, investment rate, competition (can I win here?), donor involvement (good and bad)...

    Stansbury and Collins Dismissed

The days of a coach just running practices and the playbook are long gone. A head coach today is more like a CEO ... and runs or oversees training, academic progress, conditioning, travel, operations, recruiting, player development, facilities, and of course ... game preparation and management...

GT football uniform concepts (by yours truly)

I’m a fan of classic colors and classic numbers. Particularly the “4”. Good job getting it right.
