Good point on the care taken with the staff. If CJP had gone by this board the staff would have been slap dashed together so that they could get to recruiting faster and would have been heavy on the local AAU flavor.

First half was better, you really need to see it. No lead changes and no ties number 6 ranked team vs. an unranked team . . . and the unranked team won.

CJP is practically showing that he would have taken last year's squad to a Sweet Sixteen. I wasn't deeply disappointed in the VT loss that night but now it is starting to sting since the team is clearly trying to make the NIT at this rate. Game planning has been phenomenal.

Did you notice how clearly good and more talented VT is? How hard they played? Look at their effort on loose balls. They really wanted to win and yet Tech played right with them basically the entire game, played really fantastic defense, and we can sit here and think we should have won. Wow...

However, at VCU, at NC State, even at home but with a UNC crowd are indicators that this team can perform well on the road. At this point I expect to be shocked by the Jacket's performance each game as they keep defying my expectations.

You guys that follow the sport closely can have all the fun predicting game results. I look at the ACC standings and results and just get confused. The most I will say is we either beat the spread by 22 and win or lose by 30 or more.

It's also really premature to fret over these scenarios. I juat am glad we are seeing good basketball while paying three head coaches!

Anyone know the seating guidelines for bringing an under two year old to McCamish? I want to try making some games but babies impact planning.
