  1. How the Air Raid would Improve our offense tremendousley

TE/Hbacks actually. I think Sims would not be bad in an air raid with proper coaching only because it removes a lot of the reading from him and you can run a version that is a 2 read and run plan. (aka the manzeil offense). But we are missing the TE/Hback that makes the thing work well Your run...

Even that would be an upgrade.

Adding to my other post the reason you don't see influence traps as often in the NFL is one they are amazingly good players and two it liek cutting is seen as not as honorable to do to a coworker. It isn't because they don't work (baltimore does them, the patriots use them often).
  4. Upgraded Seats

The GTAA doing something smart? Yeah i think we agree they haven't necessarily shown the ability to do that. I mean Mcamish's seats are pretty great.
  5. Upgraded Seats

Wouldn't be plush seating and as someone on the bigger side the seat sizes at mercedez benz seem to be fine. I mean i've sat in plane seats smaller wher emy shoulder hangs out into the damn aisle lol.

The counter to that when teams are getting that much pressure up front is screening till they stop it or running influence traps. Which we didn't do. You slow down overpentatration by earholing defensive tackles coming up field quickly. Nothing is a better teacher than pain.
  7. OC and DC replacement thoughts!!

Not to mention had he not ****talked the past system and instead simply said " This team was won an orange bowl in 2014 and beat kentucky in 2016 we want to build upon that success while taking us in a different direction, I am not an option coach so I am not going to try to replace johnson and...

Part of it is sims getting tipped at the line due to having a bad release (or yates not being able to find a lane to drew brees it) the other part is faking th mesh on all our slant concepts. Sometimes you just need to hit a quick slant and we didn't seem to have that. Even Johnson had the smoke...
  9. How the Air Raid would Improve our offense tremendousley

Air raid is also a concept offense. I'd like to see us using more mesh route and mesh wheel concepts as a base play. They work from spread formations to and ironically this was the mid range to short range passign game johnson used as well (remember the mesh drag to deon hill on many occasions)...
  10. How the Air Raid would Improve our offense tremendousley

Having talented runninbacks makes the air raid work even better. It kinda gives you the demarius thomas effect. Though instead of getting one on one coverage on the outside you are running into a soft nickel alignments. Gibbs ironically was the perfect air raid running back. A threat out of the...
  11. Upgraded Seats

Thats why you need to do it with a prefunding to keep the ticket cost down. Raise the money then do the upgrade. OR eat it and offset it some other way we have to do something this would pay dividends as soon as we host some concerts.
  12. How the Air Raid would Improve our offense tremendousley

Actually the air raid gets around offensive line deficiencies by getting the ball out very quick. You also spread your line out like we did in the flex which spreads the defense and threatens run. Both schemes are meant for teams that can't recruit NFL lineman often.
  13. Upgraded Seats

I also don't think it be hard to get the money to do it. Hell could sell some seat rights like the falcons did giving right of first refusal on concerts. THis would also make bobby dodd a better venue for non football activities.
  14. How the Air Raid would Improve our offense tremendousley

Lundsford was fired because he lost discipline with his team. Not because of an x's and os defecieny. Lundsford actually got fired not for losing but because on of the offensive lineman rode on top of a schoolbuss shotgunning a beer.
  15. Upgraded Seats

I think we need to rip up the bleachers actually install stadium seating with cup holders at least on the lower levels (though i'd honestly jsut do the entire stadiium) This would probably reduce capacity to aroudn 42000 BUT it would be a premium experience, at the same time I'd allow clubticket...

I'd argue though that collins is Tyson Summers. BVG was just an ******* and bounced in one year. Tyson Summers set southern back to pre monken levels. Also as soon as coach who knew what he was doing (lundsford) took over they went 11-3 with the same people.

He lost his OC and QB coach and tulane is tulane.
  18. Lets look at what the 2020 covid season did to football

I'd say Covid actually helped most of the factories more than it hurt. It gave them all a year free to develop people. It hurt rebuilding teams in the short term (but might help them in the long term).
  19. OC and DC replacement thoughts!!

When Pat was at Costal he ran the triple. Honestly that's the most saddening thing with him. I feel he should have been the perfect guy to come up with a scheme that utilized our talent and transitioned but i also think he might have been hamstrung. When you are calling games using a system you...
  20. Lets look at what the 2020 covid season did to football

This is kindaa it. They have a Sophmore QB and a only one RS Juniro on the starting O most ar sophmores juniors at best with one year or so starting xp. On defense they only have two starters that are SRs. By comparison UGA's defense is pretty much all RS Jrs SR and RS SEniros which means lot...
