They look a lot like FSU, they don't hit the best but have pretty decent pitching.

Poor fundamentals doom us again

If we can get on FSU's starters early, I like our chances. They are the weakest offense we've played in the ACC to date. The issue is they have a weekend rotation that rivals UVA's, but we were able to get on them early. They are also one of only two teams with a worse fielding % than us.

Our current stats for conference games. 8.25 ERA, 2 WHIP, Opp Avg .305... This is a historically bad staff

We consistently recruit in the top 15, but have one of the worst stables of arms in ACC.

How is our pitching this bad. Our staff ERA in ACC games was 7+ going into today

Gotta get our pitching right. The bats will keep us competitive.

I would say less than 0. He's supposed to be a top 5 pick and could be 1st overall.

We've had a few guys over the years try, but most of them only really have a lot of success in one. Roddy Jones was on the baseball team, but never really played and DeAndre Smelter was a good WR for us after struggling as a pitcher for his first 2 years.

Much like the Wake series, we are running into a team that can hit like we can.

Looking at the numbers, it's gonna be a long weekend. UVA has a staff ERA of 2.33 and a staff WHIP of 1.07.

Good for Joe, he is a really good dude.

And we get to travel to Charlottesville next week to take on, arguably, the best team in the conference. It's gonna be a long season
