    CPJ interview - Nov 11

when you say metro ATL, or you talking the true metro area or just Atlanta itself? The 19 commits from metro to PJ included Yates (4 stars, by the way), Zach Owens and Jeremiah Smith. 18 was Carter, Smith and Malloy, plus the late signee of Ryans. 17 was Clark, Dawson, Alston, Askew and Dameon...

    CPJ interview - Nov 11

PJ really didn’t like playing true freshmen (his druthers were to redshirt as many as he could) and preferred experience, so Skov played ahead of Marshall. Also, Marcus fumbles a couple of times early on and that didn’t help him

Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

staff decisions should be the domain of the coach and the coach alone. The AD should not have any input on who stays or goes

I guess we should have known

so they're not culpable in creating it? whey are we losing guys to injuries in practice this time of year? PJ would back off contact this late in the year so guys wouldn't get hurt, figuring they've done enough hitting in practice that they should know how to do it by now. and yet we're losing...

I guess we should have known

and that's about the only thing Collins and Dodd have in common as Tech coaches.

    CPJ interview - Nov 11

one more tangent on that 2014 team... one thing that really gets overlooked is that three of our fastest players - snoddy, smelter and zenon - played very little or not at all in the last three games, which were a win over the mutts, a helluva game against FSU and a Miami tail cutting of Missy...

Pitt, the offensive juggernaut averaging 20 points a game (ok, 20.9 last I checked). which in this day and age of offense in the ncaa is ... bad.

they did get to 7-0 before their wheels fell off last year, no? and last I checked, they were 4-4 this year. and as I said to my buddy as the game ended this year, "they're (bleepin) terrible."

we also beat some of them multiple times too. and we haven't lost to all of them multiple times in the last 4-5 years. just ask Va Tech. and what was our record against UNC and UVa in that stretch? Miami? Yeah. Clemson? Well, us and a whole bunch of others. Pitt? Sure.

    CPJ interview - Nov 11

I don't know about a big year. But if PJ had turned the O over to Graham, with these backs ... coulda been real fun. And our D the second half of last year, save for the Georgia game, was getting better and better.

Geoff Collins - Head Coaching Numbers

Paul’s first three years as a head coach he won 36 games and three conference championships - and a natty. With a mix of holdovers and his own players I talked to him the day after he took the Navy job. Told him I thought he could go .500 He told me “you’re (bleepin) crazy” and that they’d be...

    Jackets Need Media Presence

The Atlanta sports talk radio landscape is beyond atrocious anyway. What a collection of has beens and never weres. (Though, frankly, I respect Dimino and like Bell and Cellini personally. Don't care for Dimino on the radio but the guys does do his own homework). Remember how they all fawned...

    Disappointment

I didn't say right now. It was CGC inherited what would have been a complete starting offensive line returning. Lee Braun Cooper Hansen and Quinney. All by your statement returning starters. He had that on day one of his regime and a couple of months into it. I wasn't talking about October. I...

    Disappointment

CGC and crew were expressly told they will honor the commitments PJ's staff had gotten. In essence, they didn't pull the offers but having no contact is tantamount to telling a kid directly you might want to think about going somewhere else. Especially that late in the recruiting cycle.

    Disappointment

CGC coming in really didn't have an effect on the big money boosters coming in. That's what I was told by someone who talked to someone way up in administration at Tech. We can't understate just how much damage MBob did. He did everything on the cheap (remember the air freighter with jump seats...

    Disappointment

SMU also has, I believe, one of the youngest rosters in FBS. CGC couldn't have foreseen the injuries on the O line. He did have two OL commits held over from the PJ regime. Chose not to sign them or just effectively no played them into going elsewhere. Had PJ stayed, and if we had those...

    North Carolina Postgame

Offense caught a little spark but that last TD was against their backups This game was never in doubt after halftime, and I think unc knew that Howell is good but he did miss some throws. This could have been worse. A lot worse. I still think we have some decent skill people I wonder how well...

    The last two postgame PC

I heard CGC say that about Tech going to bowl games and being ranked while he was growing up. So I decided to look it up. I chose the time frame from when he was 7 until he was 18. During that span, Tech went to a bowl game. Not a bowl game every year. A bowl game for that entire stretch. I...
