  1. We lost a true Jacket fan this week ...

What an amazing tribute to your Dad.
  2. New GT Fundraising Initiative - GTFAM

GT Fans, We've all had many spirited discussions on here about the state of GT Athletics funding, or rather the lack thereof, and how we have fallen behind our competition. Well, now is the time for each of us to do what we can to change that. A friend and I have created a site (with the help...
  3. Coaching Carousel 5 - You have to look through the rain to see the rainbow

out of about 140k living alums, only about 7k (5%) give to athletics, as opposed to close to 40k giving to the school. it’s not that GT folks aren’t generous, they just aren’t giving to athletics, and the GTAA has done a terrible job of reaching out.
  4. What's different now?

we’ve historically done more with less. Imagine what we could do with more! Time to give.
  5. Stansbury being sued by Oregon State?

The GTAA has seemed like low-rent operation for a while. Hopefully, with more money coming in, they can up their game (hire better talent).
  6. Next Up - Revenge - Hopefully Sweet

you are using the term like a lawyer. I’m using it in the business sense. It’s in GT’s best interest to have this resolved ASAP.
  7. Stansbury being sued by Oregon State?

thanks. Didn’t realize there was a thread for this.
  8. Next Up - Revenge - Hopefully Sweet

of course they are a party to it. They made him a loan to take care of it. He is the GT AD. It’s in GT’s best interest for this to get settled ASAP, especially with all the crap that just happened recently under Peterson. Bottom line is I was wondering if anyone on here knows if it’s being...
  9. Questions for Stansbury

with a sad figure of 5%, I wouldn’t assume that. The GTAA has done a pitiful job of reaching out. They’ve pretty much just kept going back to the same small group of wealthy guys for a long time. That is going to change.
  10. Questions for Stansbury

i can answer the first one. Give. Whatever amount you can. Only about 5% of GT alums give to GT Athletics. More Wake Forest (a school with 3,000 students) alums give to WF than GT alums to GT. That’s pitiful, and it’s why we are in the shape we are in.
  11. Next Up - Revenge - Hopefully Sweet

Has GT and ADTS worked out the payoff with Oregon State?
  12. Next Up - Revenge - Hopefully Sweet

this program has just constantly had something for the last 3 years.
  13. Dave Patenaude's Offense

silly CDP. Calling the “incomplete pass” play, when he could’ve called the “run for 7 yards” play.
  14. Collins on Packer and Durham this morning...

Saban wouldn’t have gotten us to 6-6 last year.
  15. Dave Patenaude's Offense

because y’all know enough to know: what was called Did we actually run what was called Where the breakdown was What D we were facing (would a more experienced QB have checked to a better play)
  16. Assessing the Impact of GT Presidents on GT Athletics

Purdue is MUCH bigger than GT, especially undergrad, which is really what matters.
  17. Clarifying Linebackers

that would be a penalty now.
  18. Collins on Packer and Durham this morning...

It’s not an all or nothing deal. Of course coaching matters. But if you’re weighing recruiting and coaching, I’d put recruiting 60-65% and coaching 35-40%.
  19. Clarifying Linebackers

Guyton was fast. I remember him running down a Clemson running back.
  20. Butker to the Super Bowl

At Clemson or Uga, they’d figure it out. At GT, we’d end up on probation somehow.
