My concern right now is the team’s mental attitude. I’m not sure all the players are completely bought in. As long as those who are struggling don’t contaminate other players, the younger guys will be much improved by next year.

When you are disadvantaged talent wise, losing begets losing. We need to be mentally tough for an entire game to have a chance. But we do not appear to be in a good place mentally.
And, as was pointed out a long time ago in this thread, the SEC only became a top conference after several coaching legends in other conferences retired, Bowden being one of them. This vacuum helped the SEC hype machine but when they really started to dominate was after they merged with ESPN...
Question for the jury: When it comes to selecting playoff teams has there ever been a case where a conference champion and/or an undefeated team was left out due to an injured player?
