The team and coaching staff have the opportunity this week to put all of these naysayers to rest. This could be the win that puts Tech on the path to a bowl. Maybe I am getting optimistic after the upsets by other teams so far this year, but a well played game on defense and Sims performing...
From the Georgia Tech website the listed attendance was 36,486. From where I sat, I do not think the stadium was over half full, but could be wrong.
The student section had more fans than usual, so good for them for showing up.
Some things I noticed at the game.
Attendance was disappointing. This may have been the lowest attendance for the first game of the season I can remember. Hopefully it was because of the rain. Does anyone know the number of season tickets sold this year? I could not get an answer from my...
Thank you for telling me which team I can follow unless I have your particular viewpoint. I will continue to watch football and root for Tech.
However, see bold above- You are now on my ignore list.
Sorry. I am not sure where you are going with your view of the game. The Clemson fans around me were even laughing at the clown show by Collins tonight. Seriously, 137, I believe you watched the same game I did, but you cannot put enough lipstick on the pig tonight.
It is not only CGC, but...
I went and watched the Saturday scrimmage to start fall camp. Although it was hard to tell with the player rotation, I am afraid the defense will again be about the same as in the past three years.
After a slow first quarter, Clemson will win by the Vegas odds.
The kickers kept to themselves in a group during the scrimmage. Some of the practice was field goals from the 30 yard line. I did not watch all, but most were going through the upright. They moved back but my attention was on the scrimmage. Not sure what the longest made was.
I can say that...
Some observations after watching the scrimmage:
1. A serious scrimmage, no gimmicks and the music was not obnoxious.
2. Warmups had an interesting drill with CGC directing DBs doing bump and run. Not sure I saw much bump and run in the scrimmage, but an interesting drill
3. Long was with the...
I can give some data to support CGC losing the fanbase. For over 30 years I have been sitting in the East Upper deck with a group of 8 season tickets. Since GCGs arrival that number is now down to 2. And I have moved down to the club level. So that number is actually 0 in the East Upper...
Downloaded the app and read the article.
Seems like CGC realizes he has lost the fans and is at least reigning in the sales job. Most of the coach speak is there, but toned down a bit.
It really is hard being a Tech fan especially after seeing how far the football program has fallen. Is this the lowest preseason ranking ever? I tried to search, but came up empty.
I found this and noticed a few lean stretches for wins and bowls. But Tech did rebound. One can only hope this...
Bless all the sidewalk fans. Especially all who have hung in these past years. You are amazing.
Many of the guys I graduated with from the late 70s and early 80s have stopped buying season tickets after last year. We used to have great tailgates both before and after games. So sad. When...
The subject of the offensive line to me at this point is whether Key is the man for the job.
After watching the video and reading through the posts of this thread, I did not find any comments on how well Key is doing his job. I have not read he is a talented recruiter (he may be, but have...
I spent News Years at the Citrus Bowl with some of you on this board. I have my six pack of cokes on the shelf as well. Sat in the back of the endzone, terrible seats.
My wife was pregnant with our first. He would go on to get out of Tech. I always kid him about being at the Natty. He is...
