He handled that very well. He gave much respect to CPJ and his system. He was very strong in saying that the rebuild is to change to a new, very different system. It is no better or worse, but just different. He has very much love, respect and thankfulness for the upperclassmen (from the CPJ...
Definitely worth a listen. A good amount of new information. Marty Smith gave a very good interview bringing out a lot that you do not ordinarily hear from our local scribes (???). I'm glad I listened. I initially certainly had respect for him but thought he may be a little bit of a "tin...
We lived in the old Lawson apartments (married student appartments) out near Peachtree DeKalb airport. Your family probably did too. I think I may have gotten the year wrong. Dad may have gotten out in '51 or '52, not sure?
That was a couple of years before my time but my mom told me about it. My dad was a student finishing up I think in early '53 on the GI Bill after the war.
Speak for yourself, Kemosabe. The calculus may have been easy but the tests were very hard. I was there when they were still trying to flunk out two out of three of the unfortunate students. When did you matriculate?
Basketball and football are different. NCAA tourney has 64 (66 or 68?) teams. You advocating 64 team football championship playoff. How about 128 teams. Allow all in FBS?
I've read Yeti's comment at least 6 times and yours as many. He said the fourth place team IN THE SEC should not be in and not that only conf champs would be in. In other words if you are fourth in your own conference how in the world can you play for the national championship.
That is not what was ever said. Several have stated that all P5 conf champs and at least 1 (maybe more depending on ranking?) G5 champion should be seeded. That leaves possibly 5 or 6 at large ranked schools.
Don't exactly understand what you are getting at. Seems as if you don't like our whining but since most bigtime programs cheat, we should just throw down the gauntlet and just CHEAT LIKE HELL!!!!!! And STOP WHINING!
This sux bigtime. ESPN would see to it that the SEC would have the conference champion and the next 5 highest ranking SEC teams. Should be all 5 power5 conference winners with no more than two teams from each conference. Whatever mix of the next highest ranking teams required to get to 8, 10...
Some of you "never-Johnsoners" will never give it up. Some will not remember that, by the third game, we had lost 6 running backs and three Olines for the year.
