I would think this is the way to do it. It doesn't even need to be a starting player, a redshirt will work and make an impression. They'll have a new favorite player (or players) and it'll create a connection.

Wow, thanks for posting these. Great memories there. georgie pulled out all the stops that day trying to shut us down, they even invited Walter Payton to give the pre-game speech (IIRC he knew one of their asst coaches). I did get to shake Sweetness' hand though, which was awesome.

I really don't like/understand why we would schedule ANY game during finals, much less vs. georgie. Truthfully, I'd rather see the georgie series earlier in the year as a weekend series since that's a better gauge of the different teams but that's another matter. I really hope we can figure...
