    One of the coolest plays

Very cool, thanks for posting! I just hope whoever is at the bottom of the pile is still with us. Not something I'd usually expect to say about a bball highlight! :)

    Coaches on the Hot Seat

This is essentially my (vague) recollection as well. CBG is also a helluva good guy, clean, personable, respectful, and disciplined, vs. Hewitt's vaguely rogue, swag image. I have a request. Can we please get someone with ACC-caliber potential? Someone from a major conference who's ready to...

    Coaches on the Hot Seat

This won't be a popular viewpoint, but I disagree with Bradley. Flush 2017. Just flush it. Don't worry about recruits. Let CBG do his best. And flush it. Start fresh in 2018; take the $800,000 saved off the buyout and put it toward a new guy's salary. If we change at the end of this...

Recruiting strategy, not the star system, is the issue.

I hear you but I'm angry. I'm angry for the kids, because they deserve better than this.

    Calvin Johnson retiring.

And 'catalog year' will govern what further classes he has to take. Iow, he would not have to take a bunch of stuff that may have been added to or changed in the program since he has been out. He basically would just have to finish up.

@GTpdm -- I may have beat you, but you explained it better. :) @Blumpkin Souffle -- I think it still exists but is now housed elsewhere. Was in CE but is now in Architecture? Or similar.

    Calvin Johnson retiring.

Unless the rules have drastically changed, this won't happen. If you are out for two consecutive full terms or more but are in good standing, you apply for readmission and this is pretty routine. If you leave not in good standing, you apply for reinstatement and that can be harder. He may...

    Richt's gone

I don't think it ever left. I think he's going to face a choice: bring Thug U back their way, or try to do things his way. If he chooses option 1 I feel badly for him. If he chooses option 2, they'll be frustrated with him and want him gone in wayyy less than 5 years. I think he made a...

Sugiura: 3 things to know about new Georgia Tech assistant Ron West

I don't disagree, but how long does it take? How well did Navy do right after CPJ left, before Ken N. became a Jedi too? (That's not meant snarky; I'm on my phone, otherwise would look it up myself.) Even if CPJ were willing and interested, this year might not be the year to try it, iow...

Sugiura: 3 things to know about new Georgia Tech assistant Ron West

That, plus the O, on gameday, is pretty much all in CPJ's head. Even if he and Cook agreed to do this, Cook would need a couple lobes of CPJ's brain transplanted, or something like that.

CPJ is a hot head on the sidelines?

I see your point, but at every place I've ever worked both A and B would be told to stay 'till closing time. In today's workplace, would that mean A would be looking for another employer to better utilize and appreciate his skills, talents and abilities? Probably so, and more power to him...

Who is the new offensive line coach? Ron West

Looks like he has some ST experience in there too. This may be an odd viewpoint to have, but I like his defensive experience. Who better to help teach offensive scheme than someone who knows intimately what those schemes are being designed to defeat? My only question would be how old is he...

    Coaching changes?

I can still remember (very dimly ;) ) how I felt at 18. Would I have liked to hang out with Dabo? Hell yeah. Would I have liked to play for him? Probably. Would I have liked to play for CPJ? Beyond a shadow of a doubt, and through a brick wall. Kids can sniff out bull****. They'll enjoy...
