That article on Colgate I think is good read on what’s causing the NET to be so off base this year. As the article mentions, hopefully the committee understands this.
I don’t know what the chances of us losing him are, but I wouldn’t be opposed to some kind of pay bump for Reveno. IMO we need to keep him as long as humanly possible.
Think I'll be rooting for Indiana against MSU. I think Indiana loses to Purdue. With a crowded schedule MSU stealing one against Michigan would jump them up so much, so need them to get all the extra losses we can.
Saw a Twitter argument about Baylor vs Michigan and how Baylor’s loss @Kansas after a COVID pause wasn’t anywhere near as bad as Michigan’s. Saw there loss was also Q1 and was curious to see who it was... Minnesota. Man I hope the Big 10 gets spanked in the NCAAT to put some of this to rest.
I think some of the weirdness in the NET is that there were fewer non conference games this year for a lot of teams. I think that normally helps calibrate things in the beginning before you go into league play.
Take the big 10 for example. Their main non conference showing was the challenge...
I keep going back and forth on who to root for with these games. I feel like FSU/UNC either way can work in our favor. FSU knocks UNC out of the field or our UNC win works better.
While beating a stronger Duke team would be great, UL is in the tournament right now so maybe just keep knocking...
Thought we might drop further bc of UNC plummeting but not bad at all. Clemson replaced UNC and should win out. If they win all games by 10+ they could sneak us a Q1 win.
our Q1 is definitely in the needs improvements category but the Q1/Q2 record is decent. I think the area that kills us is the glaring Q3 losses( need ga state to finish strong bc they’re close to a Q4 loss)
looking at the games we missed due to Covid scheduling our resume could be so much...
SOS, sheer number of wins is helping some teams in brackets but who knows what the committee does. Before last night UNC was 7-7 in Q1/Q2 games and 5-0 in Q3 , whereas we had 2 Q3 losses. Q3/Q4 wins pretty much do nothing but the losses are rough. UNC is gonna drop big from that Q3 loss last...
It’s pretty crazy to me. Watched a decent amount of college ball this season considering the amount of games postponed and we look like a tournament team from the eye test. But those 2 early season losses are hanging around our neck. Not being able to close out @ UVA @ Duke and @Clemson did not...
