I’m excited about the trenches. Both sides of the ball have maybe 8 guys each that I could see starting.
These two areas are where we have consistently been inferior to our competition. Poor play from both derails any possible positive trajectory.
Our transfers will have a greater impact on our results than their 3 on their results.
We needed to upgrade our talent pool (roughly a dozen transfers in our two deep).
They needed 2-3 potential star power players to gain 1-2 wins .
I wouldn’t trade, as our needs were different.
We can have...
Some of this reminds me of Barry Sanders. I remember in a clip, the analyst declaring a 5 yard gain as his best run ever. He only made 8 guys miss ! The wagon never pulls the horse but we better enjoy this special talent while he is here.
Until last year, ELI was the best looking freshman back I...
All I’m going to say is this: Until last year, Eddie Lee was the best looking freshman back I had seen in a GT uniform. Gibbs will score as many as we need.
Can’t really argue your reasoning and it’s hard to go against my fathers favorite Jacket.
So, I’ll throw his vote your way and personally throw mine to Calvin.
Just watched Wes and Roddy. Obviously our fans are the only people on Earth to
predict anything over 3.3 wins!
I actually think Wes suggested that the only way to make our schedule tougher would be to add the 72 Dolphins and the 85 Bears.
If they had been here at the same time, Hamilton would have won the Heisman award and Calvin would own every receiving record known to man.
Calvin is the first Tech man (that I witnessed first hand) to walk on Bobby Dodd and then again in Detroit and demonstrate that he was the best player on...
Alright. It’s time to get pumped , so here’s my golden glasses effort of the day!
We started a true Freshman that had so many limitations due to COVID (prep time and reps) that it is amazing that he performed as well as he did. There hasn’t been any other season that we can compare this to...
So you are the young guy in the room. My first Tech game was 62 and started coaching in 79. I guess I trump you by about 7! At this point , I’m not thinking that you will change your thought process over the next 7.
Our roster on defense looks stronger on paper than our previous 12-13 years. Problem is , that’s on paper. White and Eley have played 0 games for us, Clayton around 6. All 3 are trying to audition for a NFL draft. We will be able to rotate 6 300 lb
Linemen in the middle and we have multi year...
I can’t believe I’ve held off for 50 plus pages before weighing in on the topic.
1. Schedule is brutal
- 4 possible top 10 teams
2. Coaching (body of work) is limited
- Witnessed the worst special teams
Kicking game I have ever seen
- On the other hand, I saw players playing...
Actually, if speed wasn’t an issue he would have been our best defender and drafted in the top 3 rounds. I hope he can stick but question his speed for the much needed special team assignments required by late round and free agent guys. I would love to be proven wrong about a great kid though.
Agree 100%. I add what has been mentioned by many but ignored by a few. Any time you play 5-6 top 20 teams , wins become elusive. I will be looking at how we win and how we lose . If we play clean and hard while closing the talent gap, that is progress.
Well, well, well. Tech has a reputation of holding back receivers from reaching the NFL! New to me.
I do wish him the best though. Maybe he will become their MINITRON!!
