DB's get bigger checks than most LBs. Its hard to move from a starting position to one that you see as cluttered. (and with 2 positions on the field LB was kinda cluttered.)
I think if we were still running a 3-4 riq atleast would have dropped down to OLB.
The second one I am describing is exactly that, you do it when you have gear on you catch yourself in your hands and pop back up? Thought that was implied with "bounce of your chest" and i don't see how that's any more dangerous than getting tackled?
Are you talking about the controlled "up down" where its squat extend to plank then stand back up or run in place and bounce off your chest. Both have been called that. You don't do the second one not in pads and never have I heard of anyone being injured doing that. The first one is a core...
I actually thought both of them outgrew secondary positions, I feel we maybe did ourselves a disservice not having carpenter at backer atleast. and Yuanyeh just at nickle. Not sure who we'd have put back there, maybe have shifted tre back there, as bump and run got him burned a lot. We'll see...
I don't think any of our guys were projected to play what they play here. Carpenter is a LB, Thomas was also being looked at as an OLB, and i think Tre is beign looked at as a SS.
Waller doesn't really have the choice in this case. WHile he got a great contract he doesn't have a no trade clause in it. Besides if he gets a ring with Rogers he gets a ring and his worth goes up even more.
Not just the rocket toss actually pretty much all perimeter speed toss's from every offense. This kills the 38 Toss Crack concept as well as made famous by ALabama running backs recent and a certain person from that school in athens in the 80s.
Paul Johnson's offense from 2014 can't exist today anyway with all the targeted rule changes. Every one will have to go to a zone/sprint scheme pretty soon even monken. Hurry up only works when your defense has a pulse.
Sure it does. Baylor looked at their situation and went with a rebuild that fit their situation. In their case it was not a talent/ system change issue it was a culture change. They Hired a coach that was a squeaky clean to revitalize their culture while at the same time winning a bit then found...
You are missing the context of what I said. I said he could easily have sold recruits on that because of those highlights. He managed to sell people on our horrible offense that wasn't doing anything close to being half decent.
For modern examples while not being the exact same Shannahan...
Nah man think abotu you are basically running the Calvin Johnson/Tashard Choice Dallas cowboys offense Geoff could have spun that like crazy. All the calvin highlights are out of those formations.
