  1. Article Georgia Tech coordinators see bump in pay

Those figures include graduate schools, where 50% of the students at GT are international students. GT has about 19,000 undergraduate students while UGa has about 32,000.
  2. How Transfer Portal and NIL has changed college recruiting

Did you get this from some new site which took his whole rant out of context? Not very smartly worded. BUT, tell me what his point was and if you disagree with that point? Don’t virtue signal just because he mentions rap stars and basketball in the same sentence.
  3. 2023 General NCAA Football News

Whole thing sounds….odd. It was players hazing younger players. No coaches or staff involved. The “sexual acts” were… somewhat odd and marginal, such as forcing the young player to stand naked in the shower and turn round and round so he’d bump into other players. I don’t know that I would call...
  4. Coming soon to GT: Corporate sponsorships and new names for football field and basketball gym

You couldn't build even a modest stadium for $470K these days.
  5. Coaching Carousel 8 - Teamwork means never taking all the blame yourself

Huggins is clearly making a legal play for more money. While not logical, I have seen personally many examples of large organizations (usually corporations) decide to settle a case even when they are in the right and would likely win in court....just to avoid the bad PR of the court case and...
  6. Tech's Likelihood of Winning

and, if history is any guide, 1-2 games where we lay an egg and drop a game which we *should* win (like UVa last year).
  7. Coming soon to GT: Corporate sponsorships and new names for football field and basketball gym

Money baby. We need money if you wish to be competitive. Not with UGa or Alabama, but even with VPI&SU and UNC etc.
  8. 2024 Season

    Just win, baby!
  9. Tech's Likelihood of Winning

My concern is that if we LOSE that game, how much will fan enthusiasm and player engagement drop? This is one game where I fear a loss more than hope for a win.
  10. ACC/SEC Challenge

Wasn't that because the frats and students heard we were playing Whisky and thought...well...you know....
  11. Helluva Block Party

    Just win, baby!
  12. NIL in CBB

I wonder how much off that "it's all about me" attitude is what goes with being a high level athlete in any sport. I mean, those folks NEED a lot of self-confidence, no? I don't know...just wonderin' aloud...
  13. Pitching Coach Hired

Far too cogent and thoughtful an answer for a message board😀 And of course you’re right. I’m just looking for something optimistic
  14. Pitching Coach Hired

So, Taylor's last season was 2022, huh? So, Ga State yielded 6.1 runs per game (5.23 ERA and 4.25 BB/9i). Ranked #129 in the country. (GT yielded 7.5 RPG, 6.59 ERA and 4.9 BB/9i at #235). In 2021 Ga State was #239 yielding 6.9 RPG (GT was #203 giving up 6.5 RPG). And in 2020, while GT ranked #97...
  15. Damon Stoudamire

I think you mean "hitting their shots".
  16. Linebaker Situation

I heave everytime I think of TFG
  17. Our Fan Base

As one of those old farts, I can honestly admit that on more than one occasion, I have simply been caught by total surprise and left speechless by someone walking past me who throws a "Go Jackets" my way. I always feel bad immediately but usually by then the person who said it is well past me...
  18. Hall retained. Borrell fired.

At the end if the day I suspect our recruiting of pitchers has been short-sighted, focused to much on speed and spin and not enough on location and control. I don't know if that is on DBo or CDH.
  19. Hall retained. Borrell fired.

I think the more accurate phrase is "CDH didn't. But now he does." It's just hard to ignore the last 10-15 years of disappointing results.
