So, we’ve gone around and around for several pages on the same issues. Over and over.
I would like to simplify things if I can.
Over the next ten years which conference do you think will be in a stronger position, the B1G, or the SEC, and why?
Exactly. Running your mouth can be a strategy. Working hard behind closed doors is a different strategy. The former can work but has the potential to create lots of irrevocable damage to your brand. The latter may or may not work but rarely does further damage.
We don’t need to back each other into corners about this. It’s possible to have several conflicting feelings at the same time. Let me throw a few out.
1. FSU doesn’t have a sound legal case but it’s possible they do so much damage to the ACC brand that they get what they want. Clemson...
Can anyone show that all these athletes receiving money are actually selling their name, image or likeness?
It really went abstract in hurry. “Here’s a bunch of money in case your identity gets used to make money somehow, somewhere, some day by somebody.”
Or am I missing something and all...
I believe you but how do you factor in generational support? Take U Fla for example. The Gainesville and surrounding markets are saturated with the adult children of multiple generations of gator fans and they are passing that DNA down across multiple generations . Those patterns are large...
What about movies that aren’t that great but you enjoyed anyway?
I enjoyed One Love in spite of myself. Could have been a good movie but the writing was pretty pedestrian. But I like Marley and his story has always fascinated me.
Stoudamire knows exactly the kind of player he wants and can spot that player a mile away. It’s possible he could underestimate a player or two here or there but I doubt he would ever overestimate the kind of players he’s going after. His vision is clear.
Which is why @Root4GT is right about our need for another high performing guard. Our long scoring droughts hurt us in several games and I kept wishing for one of those “put the team on their back” kind of players who could get us baskets in those times.
I think we are potentially looking at...
I’m a little puzzled by the negativity on here. Stoudamire is inculcating a culture of toughness with this team. All he needs is three more playmakers to make this team hum. I am confident that between the portal, incoming freshmen, and further development with a couple of players he will...
Good coach. I will have mixed emotions when he retires -happy for him, happy Tech doesn’t have to compete for recruits with him, but sorry basketball has lost a class act.
When our best shooters all missed their first shots, which were wide open, I knew it was going to be one of those nights. UVA is too good on defense for us to score in other ways if our outside shots are not falling.
Be interesting to see if this team is ready to pack it up for the season or...
