    Tashard Choice named RB coach

It is my personal choice to not make a pun at this time.

    Collins start recruiting Justin Fields.....

If he came and was successful, he would be considered king for more than 3 years! I seem to remember a quarterback we had several years ago that had a similar situation. If I remember correctly his name was something like Joe Hamilton. He still gets ovations when he shows up at games at BDS.

High school coaches impressed by Collins...

I looked at some of the same data that BCJacket looked at and focused on the total expenses per player on the football team for 2016. For Division 1-FBS (with a total of 126 teams), GT ranked 50th with an average of $192,668. For comparison, Clemson spent $363,170 and u(sic)ga spent $284,281...

    The "Collins effect "........

Boaty, I noticed you liked my last post even though I was refuting your posts. That’s what I appreciate about this site vs others. We can be passionate about our beliefs and disagree about many things (especially the ones you are obviously wrong about :)), but we can still be civil. There are...

    The "Collins effect "........

I looked, and I didn’t see anything about academic exceptions. All I saw was you wanting proof regarding APR. You then state that Tech is at the top of the conference with regards to APR. That is the point that others are trying to make. Tech currently emphasizes APR more so than some schools...

    The "Collins effect "........

Madison, you have some valid points. However, when it comes to academic exceptions, the Walmart training center in Athens isn’t the only school that uses them that we are competing against. You would also have to look at Miami, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, and pretty much every...

    The "Collins effect "........

I noticed that you are choosing to ignore the posts on this same page regarding academic exceptions and APR. Is there something relevant to those points that us nonsensical people are unaware of that you are privy to that makes those points moot, or are you choosing to ignore them because they...

    The "Collins effect "........

One thing you haven’t taken into consideration is the number of academic exceptions that CPJ was allowed to have after the issues that had previously occurred. The last numbers I heard were from 2014 or ‘15, and we had 4 on the team. That same year, u(sic)ga had over 70, so they obviously could...

Supersize, are you afraid we will see your photos on Facebook and in all of them you’re wearing navy blue?!?! :)

    McCollum

I agree. Every player I have talked to had nothing but praise for CAM regarding his recruiting, his coaching and his character. I hope this one doesn’t come back to bite us. Also there are a few others I was hoping would be retained.

    APR, Flunkgate, and Pelagian Theology

My mistake. I didn’t realize P5 coaches weren’t allowed to retire. I guess in your eyes Bill Snyder is a two-time “quitter” and Bobby Dodd should be lumped in as a quitter as well. Forget my previous post. I know for certain now why I no longer consider myself the dumbest poster on GTSwarm.

    APR, Flunkgate, and Pelagian Theology

I retired last year, so I guess that makes me a quitter. I would like to say that I’m glad you are posting on this board. Ever since I’ve been on here, I have felt like I’m the dumbest person on GTSwarm. I can’t explain it, but I don’t feel that way anymore.

    New O scheme position changes

Waiting for the new offense without knowing who is going to be OC is like waiting for the baby to be born without being certain who the father is. You’re just not sure what it’s going to look like.

    Anyone else just really happy?

People saying CPJ did good things while here isn't worshipping at the CPJ altar or being blinded by an acceptance of so called "mediocrity". People need to stop with this canard (and I'm referring to falsehoods used in a story, not the French duck used in cooking).

Please GT, get a new PA music person.

Supersize, I’m old enough that I can remember singing Sweet Caroline before anyone sang Bump Bump Bummmm during the song. But I was singing that part of the song as well the 1 time it was played this year (as were most people in the stands). Why only once?

I agree. Just do it at the right time (see the main complaint in the previous posts).

    Surprising 92.9 the game quote

Maybe I’m not passionate enough for some of the lovers/haters on this board. I thought CPJ was a great coach. I’m excited about CGC as well. Isn’t it okay to like and appreciate both? In the words of that old philosopher, Rodney King, can’t we just get along?

Please GT, get a new PA music person.

If you are going to ridicule us older people, I fixed your post for you. For the record, I'm 60+, but I don't mind the music if it is getting the players and students pumped up. My issue is randomly playing loud music without considering what the band, cheerleaders, or team is are doing. There...
