GT vs. Nebraska National Championship Game.

Might help current perspective to note how young that team was. Hmmm

🔥🔥🔥 Good Take on our Current Challenges

No, they were not. My source has confirmed that their info is, a second year player is a Sophomore. What would they call a Freshman....maybe a pre-Freshman!? They are quick to point out that some schools go by the covid designation and some don't in their pressers, but when that happens they go...

🔥🔥🔥 Good Take on our Current Challenges

Bottom line...the source used, and I are using the same method to class players, i.e. Williams is a rising Jr., just as Gibbs is. With so many Fr, So, and Jrs starting on prominent team's OLs, just how critical is it to have played 3 or 4 years together, since these teams did not. Again, one...

🔥🔥🔥 Good Take on our Current Challenges

From my original post: Covid means all of the above is understated due to extra year, but otoh can mean fewer games/PT

He signed in the '20 class and has played 2 years now. Covid defined classes or not, he is a rising Jr. for next season.

🔥🔥🔥 Good Take on our Current Challenges

It is their second and third year on campus, do you really think they are Fr and R-Fr ? I don't think when the '22 class steps on campus, they will think they are, especially when practice starts. A lot has to do with how talented they are when signed. See Clemson's data. We could just subtract...

More or less, same for every team. Point stands.

🔥🔥🔥 Good Take on our Current Challenges

Let's look at the 2-deeps on the 3 best teams on our schedule. They are in order of LT, LG, C, RG, RT, TE. In most cases, but not all when it list Fr, it is a R-Fr. When it list for example Sr-Jr, it means: starter-1st back-up. Clemson- Jr-Fr, So-Fr, So-Fr, Jr-So, Jr-Fr uga- Sr-Fr, Sr-Fr...

🔥🔥🔥 Good Take on our Current Challenges

All you have to do is ask your attackers why so many teams have Fr, Sos, and Jrs, on their starting OL. And don't let em get away with---well they have played together a long time. They haven't.

Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

    NIL = legitimatized bagmen.

So one assistant position still available….

Isn't the clue here, Long is a TE specialist. If we sign a QB coach, then CGC is our DC.....right?

    QB and OC debate

Technicality only. They are Sos and Jrs, i.e. 2nd and 3rd year in the program. 2022 will be the 3rd year as a starter for Sims. The DL will no longer be babies. Time to deliver.

GT hires Chip Long as new OC/QBs Coach

It's sad how often you read here that CGC needs a couple of decades to get it going, but a guy's first year at a place known for MNC's (not), is not a good hire !? Look up Broyles Award and get sober.

GT hires Chip Long as new OC/QBs Coach

Sure, like there's no way we could have used a recent Broyles finalist from ND the last 3 years as OC. No way I tell ya. As for unimaginative, look where being imaginative got us.

    QB and OC debate

Enjoy your posts jacketup, but on this one, imo, you are missing a few things, such as : Giff was more than a "good" recruiter, but yes Collins had a considerable hand in that class--Johnson did not have the best talent ever assembled at Tech his first two years-- you give your CPJ prejudice...

    The “Money Men”

I'd give very high odds that HBDS without a single dawg and full of YJs, wouldn't have changed the score Saturday one bit.

    OC and DC replacement thoughts!!

Depends on Sunday's meeting with donors. Of course, the miracle would be of Biblical proportions.

Everybody wants to hold the baby. Nobody wants to go through labor.

"how things work". Btw, Harvard's Business School has a very high acceptance rate for GT grads...I know.

Everybody wants to hold the baby. Nobody wants to go through labor.

"Even above the level of AD's." THIS.....It's hard to fathom how an Institute that is world recognized for it's graduates' ability to analyze how things work, that this goes unnoticed, for the most part. THWG & God bless Jan Kemp

Everybody wants to hold the baby. Nobody wants to go through labor.

Yeah, nobody wants to go through birthing pains, but when labor goes past a certain point, you have to go C-section for the sake of the mother and the child. Maybe a C-section at this point equates to replacing the DC, or maybe it means the HC, but that means the whole staff or most of it. I...
