Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

If, and they most certainly were, able to compete financially prior to this crap, they will be now. They are worried about their golden goose being poisoned. There's no coming back from the goose's death, but they can clearly play the game of hired guns until then. cFB, will be like pyramid...

Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

Your last sentence is what the likes of Saban and Smart are concerned about.

Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

Before Nil = a golf ball size boil on one's butt. After NIL = Stone Mountain sitting on one's chest. Size matters, especially when NIL is combined with TP. Proof and relevance? $9.5M

NIL values for FB and BB players

Losing the chance to be relevant and go to a upper level bowl game, even twice a decade, is imo, moving down. It's frustrating because in the nfl lite world, we probably won't even sniff at twice a decade. When I say moving down is death to the program, I'm talking about taking on Furman...

NIL values for FB and BB players

Being in the sec would legitimatize CGC's greatest transition in history drivel. Vandy, UK, MSU, OM, Ark, are still transitioning. Agree though, moving down is death.

NIL values for FB and BB players

There was definitely talk about it in the early 80s. NIL may mean we can't win in the future.

How much would Sims get at Bama/Clem/TAM/LSU/UNC/daU/fsu/uga/etc.etc.?

Transfer Portal: Who's Coming and Going (2022 Roster)

I believe this is quite possible, but we have before CGC, gone through a dozen DCs, huh? GOL, Lindsey, and Carson were the last DCs that made an impact. On the OC side, there was RF and who?

So, the competition for the Fr/So OL is made up of 4 and 5 star upperclassmen, and yet there they are as starters or 2-deep. Higher or lower level, the comparison IS apples to apples. Fr/So OL at any level, make contributions on a widespread basis.

Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

You might be surprised on this one. They have a ton of small to medium donors and a few big ones. Their season ticket sales are strong too. Knock the King off his throne 2 outta 3 times recently and win a Heisman here and there, and wallah, you have people who will buy off on NIL/TP.

Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

Yeah, but the point guard, QB, RB, and DE, have no--nada--venue, without the other team members. I thought this was originally, stupidly, about the big money the colleges were making and the athletes were getting bread crumbs like scholarships, food, housing, golden handshakes, a free to them...

    Where the Program stands

Same time frame for me, and I'm not sure extra time would have made much difference, because the exams were typically so disconnected from one's mastery of the subject, as to render extra time almost useless. Back then, Ma was still weeding, at least during first 2 years.

Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

NIL makes Tech cannon fodder for the power guys, not a farm team. Your take was SOWEGA and I hate each other!? Wow...agreeing to disagree while mostly agreeing is not hate....imo. You are right though, we are both correct (mostly me) :>)

Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

Yes, we do agree on a great deal of this. The survival of the scale down approach to the KSU/Furman level depends a lot on the timing. For that to have a chance in hades, a great many supporters like myself would have to die off. The youngsters will show up for the small ball way more than those...

Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

The difference in what Bama and Uga did before, and are about to do, is degree (in a big way). If you didn't enjoy post Herschel Tech football during the Ross, O'Leary, and Johnson tenures, because as you say, the game was flawed, and yet you will look forward to playing Furman and Kennesaw...

Can we stay competitive in the NIL era?

If you knew me, which you certainly don't, it may dawn on you that I don't fool myself much. The hypocrisy hasn't been exposed, because bagmen were known about by us lemmings. Rather than exposed, it's been made legal, which means a LOT more of it will go on now. If it bothered you so much...
