I was at the Boston College v Virginia Tech game last week. They had the family on the field and the entire stadium was sporting red bandanas. Pretty cool tribute.
That is unless playing the game and the $500k investment makes you more in revenue to offset the investment. I think the loss of revenue of canceling the game would be more painful then the $500k cost savings would help.
The company can in no way encourage or expect workers on furlough to conduct work activities. They should communicate this clearly to avoid confusion and limit liability.
That being said, if the employee decides to ignore those directions and conduct work activities they have little leverage...
Isn't marketing exactly what grows a smaller fan base? It gets sidewalk fans to support a school alongside alumni. For years the main message Tech was sending out was that we were smarter than everyone else. Even with winning that's not endearing to a potential sidewalk fan. Focused...
I hear all of the complaining about the current coach and if he has what it takes or not. With all of that complaining, name a coach we could have hired that would have done better converting from the Triple O. Another coach might have had one more win but nothing statistically...
According to the alumni association report there are 42% of 155k worldwide alumni in the state of Georgia. That is 65k GT alumni.
