Negativity isn't good for the program I agree. I think we just disagree on how to get rid of the negativity. I do feel bad for the more optimistic folks though when the team is going through tough times. I still personally feel having negative people at this point in the program isn't a bad...
You aren't going to force fans to be positive without something positive happening within the program. Fandom isn't something you can manipulate without results.
I'm not sure everyone agrees that rebuilding most the offensive line in year 4 with inexperienced transfers is "going about it the right way", nor do they think another rebuild in year 4 should be warranted. That is the crux of the argument and why some disagree with the message of the video. If...
Some of us are just tired of rebuilding for the future. It would be nice if the future would get here at some point. You may enjoy the building process and don't really care if it lasts forever. Not everyone else thinks the same way.
It's obvious that he doesn't think our OL is going to be very good this year, he just didn't want to come out and say that. Instead, he tries the hope for the future angle to not look too negative. Personally, im well out of the hope for the future mindset. We are past needing to show improvement.
I don't think it's going to be 32 power teams randomly picked. It will be the SEC and Big 10 and whoever they decide to poach along the way. The legalities of breaking up those conferences, along with the payouts needed probably prevent that from ever happening. It will be funny to see Rutgers...
It's a bit pie in the sky for an offensive line with 4 new starters (from his predictions) that have little to no experience. While I don't disagree that they would gel over time with continuity, they don't really have time. We have good teams knocking on our door the first 5 weeks.
If things break up and we somehow end up in the super league, how long do you expect those sports to stay competitive? Things aren't just going to change in revenue sports, it is going to trickle down to non revenue sports as well. Eventually we will have trouble competing in anything because we...
My only problem with this analysis is that it devalues Gibbs a good bit. He was also one of the best receivers we had and one of the best return men in football. He was our only true game changer every time he was on the field. We will be lacking that now.
If you believe the people that think Long was brought in to take over as head coach then Long is in an interesting spot. He needs to do well enough that the offense looks better but not so good that we win too many games and save Collins job.
Will the uprising of USC generate more fans and interest than will be lost when fans of smaller programs start to tune out because their team has no hope of national relevance? If so then I guess it's good for college football. Personally I think it will be awful for college football.
Not really sure on Duke. People have been plenty adamant in keeping Duke as a permanent rival in the potential 3-5-5 model. While it is never a big game, due to neither team usually being all that relevant, it is a game fans seem to enjoy.
You can post whatever you want, I am just not interested in responding to your random cheap shots at Yates anymore. The horse is dead at this point. Keep on pounding it if you want to. I don’t really care.
Back to Clemson though, they were #2 in the country in red zone defense. If you think...
Ill just cut off the I think Yates is the worst QB in the history of football nonsense you post over and over again and respond to this. Six teams on Clemson's schedule had less rushing yards than we did against them. That doesn't even include the FCS school they played. In nearly all stats we...
You actually can. RamblinRed did it nicely. You can evaluate the state of a program at anytime. If you need to pull in more data from the three years prior to explain the current state then you aren't really evaluating the state anymore, you are making excuses for the state.
