  1. College Basketball NIL Discussion

Players threatening to leave unless they get paid more. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/33823826/nil-agent-says-miami-hoops-star-isaiah-wong-enter-transfer-portal-nil-compensation-increased
  2. ProJackets Update

So in your expert opinion there is no chance that quality players in the future may opt for the transfer portal at some point? Were you asleep for this past off season?
  3. ProJackets Update

This is going to be tougher going forward. If we have underclassmen who are looking like potential NFL prospects then we will have to fight (and spend) to keep them here.
  4. ESPN says we have

This may shock you, but the 2017 and 2018 teams were ranked higher in offensive efficiency than the 2008 and 2016 teams. Overall four different QBs lead top 20 offenses for CPJ. It wasn't just two who had success. Tevin Washington was the only QB in the CPJ era to lead two top 15 offenses. The...
  5. ESPN says we have

Why in your opinion were the offenses in the CPJ era so much better than the Gailey era or the Collins era even with less talent on paper? How did we finish #2 in the country in 2014 in offensive FEI with a relatively tough schedule with less talent than most of our opponents? Is CPJ just an...
  6. ESPN says we have

I think you misread people. There is a contingent of the fan base that doesn’t believe we can recruit well enough to run the same “modern” offense as the factories, nor do we have the money to hire a good enough coaching staff to operate it. The current staff and results aren’t helping that...
  7. ESPN says we have

Against UGA and Clemson, every offense is dead. Thats kind of the point. They aren't a reasonable barometer for anything. We need to forget about Clemson and UGA for a while. We aren't scheming or talenting our way around them in their current form. Against the rest though, the option worked...
  8. ESPN says we have

Do you honestly think we can run a pro style offense with mostly three star players and start lighting up the scoreboard against UGA, Clemson, and the other big teams?
  9. Transfer Portal: Who's Coming and Going (2022 Roster)

The post you responded to was about his rushing yard totals. Your theory was that because Yates can't throw a football 10 yards like most 7 year old kids can Gibbs couldnt get more rushing yards. I will just say I disagree with the theory. I think other factors led to his rushing totals.
  10. Transfer Portal: Who's Coming and Going (2022 Roster)

Weird theory considering Gibbs had -10, and 40 yards against Pitt and Duke, when that really awful terrible division 7 QB wasnt playing. In reality Gibbs isn't going to be a RB grinding out big yardage games. He only had two 100+ yard games this year and in both of those games he got more than...
  11. Going on the Record

Its becoming more and more clear that the real problem isn't the head coach, its the people that hired him.
  12. ESPN says we have

There is no argument about whether they would have capitalized on their success. They already did. They had the #17 class in the country signed and because of the scandal lost 8 players in a matter of days when they asked to be released from their LOIs. They also had several players transfer and...
  13. ESPN says we have

Recruiting unaffected? Eight players requested out of their LOI in 2016, including the #1 OG in the country and the #3 WR. Their class was ranked 17th and dropped to 40th in the 247 composite and 58th at rivals. Those were guys they couldnt replace because recruiting for that season was over...
  14. ESPN says we have

Eh, Baylor had it pretty bad. Between sanctions, transfers and decommitments it was a pretty big mess. There is a reason they lost 17 of 19 games at one point. Turning that train wreck into a 11 win program in 3 years was one of the more underrated coaching jobs in history.
  15. ESPN says we have

Our offensive line is worse on paper going into this year than last year. Im not sure what changed that makes you think it will be significantly improved. WR could be improved. Ill concede that one but it really does require multiple young guys who havent played much at all to excel. RB will be...
  16. ESPN says we have

On offense we lost our three best offensive linemen, our two best running backs, one of which is one of the best players in the country, and three of our top 4 receivers. I think Long is an obvious upgrade but expecting him to significantly improve the offense in one year losing that much...
  17. ESPN says we have

Literally no one mentioned Collins in this thread until this post.
  18. Transfer Portal: Who's Coming and Going (2022 Roster)

Yeah, but companies usually don't give a crap about any of their employees. Fans get more invested in players. Whether it's Gibbs, Vad Lee, Dedrik Mills, Lucas Johnson, Marcus Marshall, etc., etc., im usually interested in how they are doing in their new roles. Although with the transfer portal...
  19. Going on the Record

He certainly isn't the only reason we lost games but to say his poor play at times didn't contribute to losses simply isn't being honest. With even average QB play against Miami we win.
  20. Going on the Record

We have lost the last 10 games Sims has started against teams not named Duke. If Sims is the definition of playmaking ability then I wouldn't say its leading to wins either. Personally I think you need both.
