I agree it’s ambiguous. I re-read it this morning and cannot tell if we’re done or not with the nightmare in 2025.
Similar to how Key isn’t going to publicly ridicule the decision, Batt cannot publicly start an email out like, “this is going to suck but…” to announce this travesty.
Nonetheless...
I’ve been at the last few… 2021 was an abomination. I was fortunate enough to be in a real suite and insulated from the mouth breathers.
2023 was a mixed crowd. We can debate the percentages but the Tech crowd was loud. I had the privilege to be on the field before the game and the Tech energy...
As a former STH, I quit when tickets became worthless. I believe I got a total of $30-40 for reselling (3) 45 yd line CL tickets to GT / Ole Miss in 2022 when the rest of my party couldn’t make it.
There’s zero incentive to be a STH. STHs always got screwed when getting MBS seating assignments...
My one and only GT/ND game attendance was the 2006 game. It was my first game as an alumnus, buying tickets in a non-student section. My section was quietly doing their taxes so I went back to the student section and lost my voice screaming at the refs when they handed ND the game.
It’s 2025 and 2026.
I called u(sic)ga in 2025 since that would piss the fanbase off the most.
2026 is slim pickings since we have a relatively easy home schedule. I guessed Colorado then but only if they’re still ‘interesting’. There may be too much risk with them slipping back to irrelevance...
I sarcastically called this into existence a few months ago.
Call me what you will but I’m on a self-imposed boycott of MBS. I’m good for BDS and an occasional away game but I’m done with MBS…
Back to back true road game nooners is great news!
I may be guilty of overthinking but I wonder if any of this are some dividends from us giving up ACC scheduling continuity? If my memory is correct, we were supposed to get some nebulous benefit for giving up permanent ACC foes.
We were +6.5 against ND as of 10/11. It then moved to +8.5 following the tarhole game and King’s injury / uncertainty. It now moved to +11.5 on essentially no news.
I’m not stating his status since I have no idea. But I am stating that the line movement seems to “assume” it’s a sure thing.
I think this is a good matchup for us based on what I’ve seen.
Aside from the obvious (King’s status), my biggest concern is in-game coaching. The margin is thin for dumb mistakes against a good team like Notre Dame.
Aside from just muting the TV since it’s an annoyance, defense of Collins by other holes is wonderful news. Collins’ results speak for themselves and if others see the ‘progress’ he’s selling, I hope he gets a contract extension and a promotion when Brown hangs it up.
They already have perhaps.
Fanduel often posts lines for week T+1 before week T games happen. And then takes down the T+1 lines while week T is happening.
GT opened +7 and was bet down to +6.5 before yesterday. Likely a combination of King’s uncertainty plus yesterday’s results (close game for...
