Per the AJC, the just agreed settlement regarding athletes as employees:
o Each school permitted to set aside $21M to share with athletes.
o School to decide who/ how much per athlete
o Title IX impact unknown, to be determined when, ???
o NIL moved inhouse unknown, to be determed when??
GT is high on the list of BIG interest. Higher than most in ACC. BIG has wanted a prcense in Atlanta a long time. Before you start with FB relevance, BIG added Rutgers for geographical reasons, not sports excellense.
And sign them to multi year cotracts. You get a 3-4 star, coach him up, and he's locked in for contract duration. Let the elite fight for the 5 stars. Minimizes portal crap which is just amplifies NIL/ Pay
Perhaps having schools pay players is better than the current NIL crap. The school could then sign players to multi year contracts, negating the madness that is the transfer potal.
