  1. Acc releasing schedule today

I'm ok with it, we have voodoo magic against top-ranked Clemson at night in BDS. Plus, once we are good, it can be a chance to catch them off-guard (especially if we have a different OC -not calling for the head FYI) and start the season with some MAJOR hype. The more I think about it, the more...
  2. Question About Tobias Oliver

That's not what I would describe as flat. Whatever you say my man. He also has tweeted questionable things directly before practice, really seems to vibe with the "bad body language". You don't have to be emotional, but I'd like to see more engagement in games from him. I remember a few...
  3. Great article on recruiting & CBK...

Both are outstanding coaches. I personally believe CBK is better OL coach and recruiter. CBK wants to be at Tech for the rest of his life. This is outstanding.
  4. Great article on recruiting & CBK...

Paraphrase for the non-subscribers? There's a guy on a different site that swears up and down by CBK and his overall abilities as a coach.
  5. Brains and football

I'm more of a hater of bad science and manufactured outrage vs. not believing that head collisions can cause trauma to the brain. My point is that people, including you, say they are inextricably linked like smoking and lung cancer and well...they're not!
  6. Brains and football

Yep, quite familiar with that study by Dr. Bienik From the article you posted: “Most of the research on CTE so far has been done in highly selected [groups] of people with generally very high levels of exposure to head trauma.” "Neuropathologist Daniel Perl of the Uniformed Services...
  7. Brains and football

Shocker that a rabid communist speaks poorly of a sport that is ingrained in the fabric of America without concrete evidence. Malcolm Gladwell is oft misguided at best and intentionally subversive to American ideals at worst. His words are crack for people that don't care to actually get into...
  8. Brains and football

Do we actually know that? Maybe you can point me to some of the studies you've read. Would love to read up more.
  9. Quarterback for next year

*Redshirt Freshman I've never taken kindly to players that have the ability to smile and act as if it's ok after losing a blowout game while announcing that they didn't prepare the same as the week before. That's incredible to be honest. James, if you're reading, heart to heart time, bro: At...
  10. Quarterback for next year

What do you mean by this?
  11. Quarterback for next year

Sims reminds me of a better passing wise Jacory Harris. Gleason reminds me of the guy they had at Temple and Curtis Painter.
  12. The evolution of the the QB position in the game

Amen, it's about the processing. It makes it easier if your QB can avoid a pass rush and scramble for a 5 yards if nothing is there.
  13. Brains and football

Epidemiological studies are garbage. I haven't read up on it recently, but IIRC they were finding CTE in people that never played sports.
  14. Question About Tobias Oliver

And better body language when he's not in the game
  15. Something for Collins and co. to consider

I actually believe that Graham has the talent and mind to be a decent pro prospect. He can make all of the throws, albeit inconsistently. But, he can make them. I think he's going to surprise a lot of people in Spring and then in Fall. I'm not sure if we have it, but we most definitely need a...
  16. The Culture is Real

Shoot, you can look at our program. Multiple player only meetings in 2008 and 2009 according to guys on the team at the time. One can only imagine a couple extra wins in 08 and 09 if everyone was on board. As a player, you're already fighting the school, the other team, and college life- why...
  17. All Decade Team voting, link in 1st comment

Can't believe I forgot Stewart, yes I agree with this.
  18. All Decade Team voting, link in 1st comment

I don't think I've met any former players that weren't classy guys.
  19. All Decade Team voting, link in 1st comment

The other picks are ok, I guess. Ahmarean Brown probably deserves to be on the 1st team list after this season. Sweeting deserves to be on the list over Golden. No Rashaad Reid either? The guy started almost every single game since being a freshman in 08. He's probably the most deserving out of...
  20. All Decade Team voting, link in 1st comment

Interesting bit on the tackles part. Claytor played the least out of all the tackles. Will Jackson played maybe 8-9 games his whole career at tackle. Beno and Smith probably most deserving for at least being on one of the teams.
