NIU Linebacker Preview: https://niuhuskies.com/news/2021/8/26/position-preview-linebackers.aspx
Summary. Two returners are the only non-freshman linebackers who can play.
@Huskie73, look. I'm not trying to be disrespectful of the NIU program. And there is a chance (about 15% if you believe the numbers) that you guys surprise us.
But let's all be honest and say that it would be a surprise to most of the college football world. It would be a VERY bad sign for our...
Looks to be short. Compare that to Ja's highlight reel, particularly this play below.
Compare the difference in acceleration and speed, not even considering shiftiness. I'd take Gibbs as a WR over that guy any day.
If this is their baller then I think we should be able to handle it.
Just being snarky. ;) But it doesn't feel like we get many into their system, even if they don't stick. The Jags picked up four drafted/undrafted. It just seems weird that we don't get any flyers with the Falcons.
And I know that the fans of the Suburban Journalism School think that the...
I don't know anything, just speculating. But I wonder if the Phillips is battling some 'this is the way we've always done it' thinking in the office and is considering a move to break that culture to get a more competitive mindset. Let's be honest, the ACC has been out-maneuvered and made more...
Thanks all. I was seriously wondering if the Effort-based was a new type of defense. In comparison to the "Spread Option Pro Style" for offense, it just seemed...weird. But I think you guys nailed it. They meant that the ATL chart on defense is based on effort not...something else I guess. Hmm...
So.
What is a "4-2-5 Effort-based" defense and how does it differ from a normal 4-2-5? Do most 4-2-5's work best when you don't try hard? Seriously. What the crap does that mean?
I like CGC and think he'll be good. But that kind of stuff just baffles me.
The Falcons ought to get him to pair with Pitts and Ridley. A tight-end who runs like a WR and a WR who is as big/strong as some tight-ends would be a nice addition. But, alas, we know that the Falcon's are organizationally opposed to GT players.
Easy guys, we get you love NC. And I'm sure Greensboro is a lovely place. Although I lived most of my life in the ATL area, I've moved to the GA coast because ATL is too crazy busy anymore. I'd likely prefer living in Greensboro (or one of the 'Villes...Greensville, Huntsville, Knoxville) to...
From a nice article written by our 'favorite' former ACC beat writer: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/32084177/the-2021-college-football-covid-protocols-requirements-attendance-forfeits-more
"In the ACC, any unvaccinated player on a team that has reached an 85% vaccination rate...
Oh. My man. You should seriously try out a merino wool t-shirt. Coolest shirt I have on hot and humid days. Runners wear them: https://www.insider.com/best-merino-wool-running-gear
Fair enough. I do agree with this assessment of the marketing department at GTAA. It's really bad. I was hoping that TStan would come in and clean out the front office. It's the Falcon's problem too...a bad front office that we can't seem to fix no matter how many GM's and Presidents we have...
