Those were good times.
Help me with this. Back in those days I could more easily identify the style of play of particular teams, and the plays that were run were easier to follow. Overall, the impression was of good team execution. Today, outside of a few really good teams, I can’t tell...
Weird, but I am ecstatically optimistic if we can hang onto Ndongo and filled with concern if we lose him. One player shouldn’t make that big of a swing in my emotions but…… I like the idea of George, Reeves and Ndongo returning and being able to communicate to new position players what the CDS...
Naw, we just gonna be trading players with other teams, like the pros. “You want a quality running back? We’ll give you one, plus a backup receiver for a starting nose tackle.”
I don’t know the answer to your question but it reminds me of a conversation we’ve had for at least the last twenty years in Tech circles. Good defensive linemen are scarce to begin with and among those very few seem cut out for the riggers of being a student athlete at Tech.
Question. Is it easier for a student athlete to qualify at Tech is they have a decent academic record at another college? I would think some players might want to come to Tech out of high school but have an easier time as a transfer. Would this make the portal our friend?
I agree 1000 %
But, his subsequent play (and apparent attitude at) Nebraska might lead one to conclude that his rehabilitation might be too long of a project when we need players who are ready to go now and who have bought into the system. I just don’t think we have time to experiment with a...
“My opponent is raising a ton of money from big corporate donors and if you still want to have a voice in this game then you need to consider increasing your contributions to my campaign, and, remember, the other side wants to annihilate your way of life.”
Wonder what his legacy will eventually be? Even after the murder trial he found celebrities to play golf with, like Arnold Palmer and Michael Jordan, so money and power still seem to attract each other. His football accolades are beyond dispute but questions about his relationships to women...
Yes, saw the series on the trial and thought it was well done. Zooming out to the larger story, of which the trial is only a part, would be fascinating also. Who was OJ and how did he become who he was? Certainly a lot of info is public record and on line but a well done movie biopic would be...
Wonder how his criminal trial would have gone if he had not been wealthy, the LAPD had not been racist and corrupt, and the prosecution had not made major mistakes?
Unfortunately, to me, two systems of justice remains an American tradition. Many in the Black community remain convinced he was...
Such a weird trajectory in his life. Good looking, articulate, phenomenal talent, a feel good spokesperson for car rentals and nice comedic talent for movie farces. Then an angry, malevolent toxic male with a sociopathic profile that made him look perfectly capable of murder without remorse...
