You are incorrect on looking at the 2924 record as a factor. All offseason GT has been noted to have one of the top 10 or harder 2024 schedules. Most pundits expected a 6 win ceiling due to the schedule. VT was projected to have 8-9 wins based on schedule. Vandy was a projected win!
Ok so they had a very similar conference schedule to GT last year and had the same conference record. Check. They return 20 starters from a5-3 /7-6 team. Check. Preseason it appeared they had 2 hard Conference games Miami and Clemson. Check.
Easy to see why people would view them as a dark...
Didn’t we win the ACC Championship in 2009? The 2008 victory at the time broke the what 7 game losing streak to UGA so at the time that felt great as the program turning point. 15-16 years later the ACC title seems more significant to me. Of course had the UGA streak run several more years...
They returned 20 of 22 starters from a team that went 5-3 in Conference with conference losses to FSU, Louisville and NCST. No bad conference losses. Like us they beat Wake, Cuse and UVA. They also beat BC unlike us. Their5th conference win wasPitt. Started1-3 ended 7-6 same as GT. Easier...
Beating Georgia is great and leaves one with a euphoric feeling. As it happens so infrequently making that "The Game/Goal" seems a waste of energy to me. Sadly we have not been their equal for many decades in football. Everyone has heir own feelings about Georgia.
UGA is good. They have been better than GT for the majority of the 55 years I have been a GT fan. I have lived in every part of the States and several overseas Countries so I don't deal with UGA fans very often. That is a good thing. The Georgia Grads I know are reasonable people. I don't...
LOL actually my best friends are UNC, Cuse and Texas A&M fans. Cuse and A&M fan ae realistic. The Carolina fan is well a typical Carolina fan, unrealistic expectations and the refs are always against UNC. LOL I give him grief by the boatload about that last one!
GT fans don't follow college football besides GT and the UGA complex. That might be amplified b=from many living in Georgia. For those of us who don't live in Georgia we don't have near the issue with UGA as those who live there Also a large chunk of GT students don't follow college football...
Good thoughts. GT fans in general don't follow other programs very much and do not really know the talent level of our opponents less UGA, Clemson and UNC. GaSt s a good example as was Louisville last year. Most GT fans just recently learned Cuse's QB is McChord who led Ohip State to a 1 loss...
Keep drinking that Cool Aid. Wake, Duke and UVA are real powerhouses! Vandy just beat VT. The ACC has lacked elite teams since Clemson's run with Watson and Lawrence. FSU was very good last year until they lost their QB. That was very unfortunate for them.
Interesting take. Highest ranked team to lose was #10 FSU to us. Next was #14 Clemson to #1UGA. Then#20 Texas A&M to #7 ND. #13 LSU just lost to #23 USC.
Who besides A&M drops out? No “bad” losses unless you count FSU’ Los to GT as a “bad” loss.
Losses will happen the next few weeks. We...
