    Postgame: ND 31-GT 13

That's what I look for more than anything - did they play hard? Once again yesterday, I would say yes, they did.

    Postgame: ND 31-GT 13

But as our game isn't static, neither is theirs. I don't know this but just speculating - maybe they played better against us than they did against Northern Illinois. And I don't think Tech is as good as Louisville. It's been pointed out many times but bears repeating because we forget it -...

And it had nothing to do with what's on the other side of the ball. 🙄

    Postgame: ND 31-GT 13

8 rushes, 15 yards for Jamal. The run game wasn't working today against ND's DL.

Well, you've successfully cherry picked the worst moments. We had some good ones, too, and we hung in with #12 until the fourth quarter.

I don't think you're taking into proper account the team on the other side of the ball. It's the best team we've played all year. That was a probable playoff team.

Saw one of those receivers let a perfect pass go right through his hands. If he'd caught it, he was going to get clobbered by a Duke DB, and I didn't think he wanted to catch it. I think that team with all its talent folded up and quit after they lost to the Jackets.

    Game winner: Jamal Haynes

True, and it happens in reverse, too. Folks will attribute losses to bad play or play calling while ignoring the possibility that the other team played well. And I've been guilty of it, too. We should all keep in mind that there are two teams on the field. We're not out there in a vacuum.

That's where I thought it would open. I'm pouncing on it, +14.

Of course, it depends also on how they play.

Tech 26 ND 23, in OT. Jamal Haynes scores on the last play of the game.

I dunno. These look like the guys who hired TFG.

    King Injury Factual Updates

Indeed. We know what we don't know, to paraphrase Donald Rumsfeld, which is marginally better than not knowing what we don't know.

    King Injury Factual Updates

Exactly. I don't know, and I don't want to know because if I don't know I doubt Notre Dame knows either.

Spread edging up to 12.5 now. Waiting to see if it goes just a little higher, and then pounce.

    King Injury Factual Updates

And now we know something. We know that we do not know which QB will start, or how much he will play. And we will not know until Saturday. Our ignorance is confirmed.

    Game winner: Jamal Haynes

I just want to say something about the sudden and dramatic way this game was decided, from overtime looming to The End in about 6 seconds flat. Haynes proving yet again that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Right straight up the gut untouched to The House. Ran past...

    Early Line GT-ND

I don't think the line movement is just based on whether King can go, but also on the presumption that even if he is able to go, he'll be hampered by an ongoing injury. At any rate, I have faith in Pyron, and if that spread would edge up about two more points, I'd be tempted to take a bite.
