Notre Dame got the memo. The playoff selection committee likes eye candy. They eschewed the fundamentally sound winning % move in favor of a bigger point spread. This is part of the new landscape of college ball and Tech was just collateral damage because they were in the standard alignment.
I’ve wondered the same thing. FSU might be his dream job but any sane person would want assurances that the deadly toxins in that program have been cleaned up before jumping in. Right now FSU doesn’t look even close to settled. Maybe in 3 or 4 years when there’s been a lot of turnover.
In my opinion there were two things that tilted the game, and almost everything else was the resulting cascade of badness that can happen when one team gets behind and is at a disadvantage.
First. This offense was built for a running quarterback. Without King our options are limited...
Not ashamed of Tech.
We needed to play a perfect game. Didn’t.
Notre Dame played flawlessly. The kind of game they need to play against a top ghee opponent.
We are at least two years away from being a playoff team.
I ran my computer algorithm on Tech vs ND and ND was winning 73% of the time, so I fixed a small glitch I found and now, voila! Tech is winning 93% of the time.
Science is fun 😊
I’m ok with the all white but getting a little tired of the barely there GT. It’s like we’re barely in Georgia. Barely an institution. Barely a football team. Barely competitive.
That’s all I have to say on it.
Go Jackets!
