Speak of the Devil... I am one although my dad went to Tech and I grew up going to Tech games. If we were to start winning again, I think you would see more non alumni fans aka sidewalk fans show up at Tech games as a low cost alternative to the Falcons. Maybe, maybe not but we will see.
It is supposed to be navy blue but if so, it is the darkest shade of blue I have ever seen. It might as well be black. I think it looks pretty good... wrong shade of ….gold in the numerals
I was on a Pitt site and they had a similar predict the game poll. Of the 34 responses, all of them picked Pitt. A few, very few picked a close game but most of them thought Pitt would blow us out by two or more touchdowns. To win, we will need to keep this game in the teens or low 20s. I...
I looked at it for the third time and by golly it is a very DARK NAVY blue. One more shade darker and it would be black or something. Pretty cool looking uniform in any case. Much better than that French blue they wore at the bowl game.
Upon further review, the video makes it look as though it is a very dark blue instead of black. I am cool with that as well but that is the darkest shade of blue I have ever seen.
Like it. Panthers are in their old school traditional yellow and lighter blue and we are in a nifty gold, black, gold. Let's get it on and may the best team win.
Looks like black jerseys to me as well. Gold contrasts nicely with black. Actually looks pretty good to me. Some might complain it looks a lot like Vanderbilt.
Maybe defensive back as well but certainly not at wide receiver, offensive line, quarterback, or defensive line. On the other hand, the only position that is a decided advantage to Pitt may be defensive line a t the others I would surmise we are pretty close.
Given the usual state of affairs in the Coastal...probably not all that unexpected. The difference between the perceived best team in the Coastal (by some, though not all observers) is UVA and the worst team is GT. The difference between the two is not all that much. Considering that the...
Sure, they are good and well coached for a change but notice how often when the game was on the line they choked. They are frontrunners of the first order. With UNC what you see is often less than what you get.
They probably thought the games against Delaware and Ohio would be "cakewalks" as well and both of them turned into being more than Pitt bargained for. I don't know what to really expect from us coming off a bye week but I am pretty sure we will give Pitt just about all they want.
If WE don't know who we are how do you expect opposing coaches to figure out who we are? In fact, you could say that about most of the teams in the Coastal, maybe all of them. Certainly Miami is an enigma.
That may be true but make no mistake this team will play hard. That is the one constant in this season of sorrows. Make no mistake, Coach Collins will discover that beating Miami, Clemson or UGA will make a lot of people forget the bad games. I still have a good feeling just from beating...
Back in the old days, the ACC was pretty much a joke in football. Something to do until basketball practice started. I don't think anyone really thinks of the ACC as a joke anymore. There is talent and some teams capable of playing good football but the reality is that they are equally...
I wish I had never said anything but the idea that so many ACC Coastal teams are smack dab in the middle actually makes for more interesting division games and gives everyone a chance. Makes for interesting football I think.
Thank you for the correction. His name is indeed Ffrench and he is a fine player. Nonetheless, they are only averaging 21 points a game and are only giving up 21 points a game. Their team stats are as tight as they can be. They are limited on offense because they struggle to run the ball...
When they had to have it, Pitt could not punch it in against Miami's defense. We have a good shot but we will have to play like we did against Miami. That may be a tall order. They have a wide receiver who is pretty good, I think his name is something like "French"? Miami did a pretty...
True enough but Texas A&M and Auburn are top 25 quality teams, while there is no one in the Coastal that meets that standard. Granted that Vanderbilt, Arkansas, the two Mississippi schools and Kentucky are pretty ordinary even by Coastal standards. In recent years, Tech has beaten all of...
