  1. ACC to play 10-game conference-only schedule for the 2020 season.

I do not wear a mask. I will not patronize businesses that require a mask. I like in Albany, Georgia one of the original hotspots. The death rate from this virus is less than 1%. I asked a hospital administrator and one of the most respected physicians in our area what are the odds of a...
  2. ACC to play 10-game conference-only schedule for the 2020 season.

I don't think there will be any playoffs of any kind this football season. Probably no bowl games either. There is talk of an all conference ten game season but I don't know if they will even be able to do that. Football both college and professional (I know in the SEC its pretty much the...
  3. ACC to play 10-game conference-only schedule for the 2020 season.

It was obvious to everyone but me. There is always someone who does not get "the word"
  4. ACC to play 10-game conference-only schedule for the 2020 season.

So it would appear. Went right over my head. It is hard to believe that this would actually happen because there will be a number of programs that will have to fold. Some of those ridiculous coaching salaries just may have to be changed. A pity, but in every life, a little rain must fall.
  5. ACC to play 10-game conference-only schedule for the 2020 season.

I have always been slow on the uptake. We may not play any games. Let's claim a national championship because then we would be "undefeated".
  6. ACC to play 10-game conference-only schedule for the 2020 season.

Why not? If we beat Clemson the defending national champs, Miami, UNC, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech we would have as good a claim as anyone. Assuming an all conference schedule without UGA and Gardner Webb.
  7. ACC to play 10-game conference-only schedule for the 2020 season.

Sure. Your optimism is admirable. I don't think we will win more than 3 or 4 of an all conference schedule. The chances of Tech going undefeated are about the same as Tech losing all of their games.
  8. ACC to play 10-game conference-only schedule for the 2020 season.

UCF probably feels like they can beat us...they are probably right.
  9. ACC to play 10-game conference-only schedule for the 2020 season.

Do you blame them? Champ is probably turning cartwheels as we speak.
  10. The ACC will delay the start of competition for all fall sports until at least Sept. 1

Maybe that is why the Ivy League announced this morning that there will be NO fall sports of any kind this year.
  11. The ACC will delay the start of competition for all fall sports until at least Sept. 1

What makes you think the factories would follow any rules that would cost them money? Rules are for the little people.
  12. Juice Builds Juice

Doug Dickey says "Hold my beer". In 1978, ,may have been 77, Dickey had nearly half of his starters drafted by the NFL and won just a couple of games. Talent galore, just no wins. Dickey was so beloved by Florida fans that the loudest sustained booing I ever heard was at a Florida vs...
  13. Juice Builds Juice

Well, give him time. He was under the gun pretty bad last year. One thing that Ralph said years later struck me as interesting. He went with Bobby to the San Diego Chargers for a while. He said that the pros taught him the importance of finding a matchup that you like and going to it in...
  14. Juice Builds Juice

Yep. He was proven by the time he got to Tech. It was just a matter of time before the Fridge got the ball rolling. Ralph was at Maryland when Frank Reich orchestrated what is considered one of the greatest comeback wins in college football history. November 1984, Miami took a 31-0 lead into...
  15. Juice Builds Juice

Friedgen was proven. DP is a "work in progress" but the Fridge had Shawn Jones, Emmett Merchant, Tom Covington, William Bell and a fine offensive line to work with. DP has some pretty good running backs and that's about it.
  16. Juice Builds Juice

I am hopeful but...skeptical that it can be done at Tech on a regular basis. Not without winning games it will not happen.
  17. Juice Builds Juice

I was talking to my Florida buddies who also keep up with FSU and they say that FSU's problems go back years to when they suddenly had unbelievably bad luck with offensive linemen. They had four and five star linemen that went busted, they had injuries to key players seemingly every year and...
  18. Juice Builds Juice

This is progress for sure. The key is to do it year after year. Of course, Miami has done it pretty much year after year with not much to show for it.
  19. Juice Builds Juice

Since the start of the rating phenomena circa 2000 or so. Tech has had one top 20 class and one other top 25 class. Must be a reason why we are not in the top 15 to 20 year in and year out as we have only achieved that lofty status once. I will indeed "wait and see".
  20. Improved OL

Those were probably the most injury ridden years in the history of the program. For my money, 1968 was the worst but last year was bad and 2015 was right behind it. Tech simply cannot afford injuries except maybe at running back and quarterback. I am beginning to wonder if under the...
