Three win seasons with history making losses thrown in will do that. I can't say that I blame them. People will only endure so much and then walk away. It happens. I know of two long time Florida season ticket holders that swore they would never again attend a Gator game as long as Mullen...
I don't know about that. My Florida friends claim that Charlie kept half the fast food joints open by himself in Gainesville while he was there. Think what he could do for the restaurant business in Atlanta.
Heisman was good at media relations too. Newspapers all over the country ran photos of him holding a short mega phone through which he would yell: "Hop lads, hop...you must learn to hop like a chickadee" He was an early proponent of such innovations as shifting into different formations...
Tech has been blessed with four truly great ones and a couple of good ones. Heisman, Alexander, Dodd, and Ross were great for their respective eras while Johnson and O'Leary were very good. Very few were truly awful and most like Chan were decent and respected.
I am very sorry to hear that. You have my condolences but understandable. What does it say when a "casual fan" for lack of a better term, recognizes just how "bad the product that is being put on the field is"? This issue of declining fan support is threatening to spiral out of control much...
I think you are being a tad generous but that is greater than the 35 point spread. I think UGA covers the spread easily and we do not score or perhaps a field goal. IIWII
We agree to disagree. Go on Swamp Gas or Gator Country and see just what they think of him. Personally, I am glad he is gone so I won't have to listen to my Florida friends continually complain about him. Florida is always going to get very good recruiting classes, the question is whether...
True...by our exalted standards but top 20 classes do not stir the drink with Gator Nation. Their primary complaint is that he has allowed Kirby, among others, to make inroads into Florida snatching some of the best athletes that in prior years would have gone to Florida. It really raises...
Long story short, Coach Cut got old and the recruiting, such as it was, fell off. Duke HAS to have superior quarterback play to be competitive and that was Cutliff's primary strength as a coach. This is a program in decline but no one notices because the ceiling was not that high anyway...
The "relevance" what little there happens to be, is this...if we had Monken, we would not be in the fix that we are currently in. Not to say, he might have us in a different kind of fix but he would have his team ready to play and there would not be the spectacle of a once proud program like...
Data? Numbers? OK, here is one. Tech got beat by Notre Dame by 55 points. In Notre Dame's other wins this season, the cumulative point difference was exactly 55. I have seen all the "data" I need to see to know that this team has quit on its coach while our program plummets to depths...
"...Collins is here because a lot of the important money men who have more money than the good sense God gave a sweet potato wanted him here." FIFY They may be secure in the knowledge that they have put this program down to the level of Duke. CFN just released their top to bottom rankings...
