Well, if they win the Tech game their chances of getting in was 60+% and if they lost they could just about forget it. Looks like they are in because they have a soft schedule I think the rest of the way. They look like expanded playoff caliber to me but I don't watch the factories enough to...
No, but I would think that there might be some promises of not missing 30 or so tackles and four special teams miscues that belong at a high school level.
I don't know, after watching four special teams miscues, I am not sure this team can beat either Virginia Tech or NC State. But they are about as bad as we are so more ACC cream puffery in sight.
I was very impressed with the physicality of Notre Dame. They are big and fast. Safeties are outstanding. An excellent team but I question what they will do playing a team like Georgia, Alabama, etc. with superior athletes. They will probably be in the playoffs and lose the first round.
You will understand when we lose to Virginia Tech, Miami, and UGA. We might beat NC State to finish 6-6. This is not a good team. Very pedestrian at present. Next week will be interesting.
I don't think we will ever make the playoffs under these rules. There is a huge gap between the football factories and ordinary teams like Tech. I don't even think we will make a bowl game based on what I saw today. This was a very poor performance especially by special teams and both lines.
Coach Collins thought they were "elite". Oh, you mean Notre Dame elite. Well, probably not playoff elite but they are still better than we are so maybe the Irish meet Collin's definition of "elite" I think its kind of "elite" to use the word "elite" 7 times in one post...now that is elite.
What makes you think there would be no bickering on this forum were Tech to lose with Zach? In my view, this is how the world should turn:
1) Coaches Coach
2) Players Play
3) Fans ***** and Complain
Seems simple to me.
I picked Irish to win by two touchdowns. I have little confidence in our defense. In fact, I don't think it matters if King plays or doesn't play I just think they will steamroll us.
Bless your mother. Funny thing about that game was that I distinctly remember that even though VPI was ranked #4 in the nation due to the heroics of Tyrod Taylor and a typical Tech defense there was a lot of concern expressed by Coach Beamer about his offensive line. I remember thinking he...
