It will be imperative to have a coach that either has or can establish relationships with Louisiana High School coaches. We've had success over the years recruiting from there, especially with the past few classes. I'd hate to see that fall off.

I wanted to highlight these sentences from danny's post. Many teams DO have some of the same problems and their fans complain also. While they do provide some insight, stats don't tell everything about a team.

What impact do you think a new DL coach will have with the same players? Are you looking for a different rush and pass technique from the DLineman?

We've had success in Louisiana before. Gathers, Dorsey and Watkins come to mind. We've gotten players from there the past few classes along with the Swillings next year. Hopefully we can begin recruiting harder there along with the suburbs of Houston.
