I am with those who want the QB to be the one that can run the offense. Or at least one that can complete better than 50% of his passes.
Since CGC is saying that there is going to be more RPO this season, having a QB that can lead the offense and complete passes is going to important. If no...
Interesting summary.
I think the only advantage to the extra 10k butts in the seat will be improved recruiting and even some increase in donations.
I wonder how many $500 or above donors Tech has? Because I agree, the average fan probably does not give that much.
Personally I would love to see Tech improve beyond expectation.
My concern is not recruiting, but being able to coach up the talent. I believe CGC has shown this staff can recruit. Now they need to show they can coach.
I'm looking forward to watching Mason again. If there is another RB better, then look forward to whoever that may be.
And whoever steps up at QB.
And whichever kicker proves himself a worthy starter.
He does stick to the talking points.
The one that puzzles me is the offensive line averaging 6 ' 1". How many offensive linemen were under 6 feet to make that the average? When I look at the program from last year, the only player listed at 6 feet is Chet Lagod. All others all 6' 2" or...
And what worries me is the new NCAA rules allowing paying players, the big dollars are going to help the SEC and hurt the rest of college football. I suspect every car dealership and fast food joint in Tuscaloosa will have a paid player advertising for them.
And, Tech needs to sign a kicker....
I am not offended in the least. I have supported the Jackets through the good and the bad. So my fandom is not in question.
What I am questioning is these new fans you believe are coming to replace the unworthy fans. I would really like to know your opinion on this. If there is an untapped...
It is not clear to me. Who are the new fans, and where are they coming from? Are they going to be buying season tickets next year ? Why are they going to be better fans?
I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but your hypothesis about getting new an better fans evades me.
Do you think this is true? CGC is trying to run off fans?
I have a different perspective.
As a head coach he needs attendance to sell his vision.
He needs the "old fart" fans for season ticket sales and donations. I don't for a minute think he does not believe the older fan base is...
Interesting point. Take the National Championship game for example. Transfers make a huge impact. And I agree with you that the transfers already on campus will have an impact on the upcoming year.
Recruiting rankings become less important as more kids enter the transfer portal. For the...
One of the qualities that I hear more about are coaches are looking for "length". CGC has uses that word.
I am not going to try to define what it means today, but I recall from my time in Texas and listening to Landry talk about what he looked for in a player. One of his characteristics was...
