    Rats …

The proper statement is "RATS on the field" -back when students could go on the field before the game! Hope the rain holds off.

The most disappointing stat from yesterday was...attendance.

We have a fan base that complains about Thursday night games as well. We should always open on Thursday night if playing these kind of games. Notice that Clemson also played early? Clearly they are not winning enough to play later either. It was really hot but I was there as usual. The best...

    “What’ll ya have?

#1 -2 chili only dogs, fry and a large Coke. I walked across the bridge every night in spring quarter to get a large chocolate shake - Glenn was male and didn't have A/C. Great way to cool off.

Let’s do Junior’s Grill while we’re at it.

I’ll have a “double fry butterfly!”

    Ga Tech Lubricant Thread

Coke Zero before, during and after. Never saw the need for alcohol to have a great time watching college football!

As much fun as the offense was, the defense in 1990 was stellar. Until Swilling got hurt in the Clemson game (returning a kick?), I don’t think the team gave up a touchdown? Is my memory right on this? That Nebraska game was a true work of art. We rolled them.

Petition to stop noon home games

I love college football, and not just GT. If we are playing no-name U in Sept, I’d rather it be on Thursday night to be both cooler and enable watching college football all day Saturday. Other than that, I’d rather it be always at noon so I can get home and watch other games from 5pm to...

Georgia Tech Plans New Sports Broadcasting Facility

Our own facility 2 blocks from Turner stuff. Wow that would be so hard to connect up to from the beginning for educational purposes. Oops- our network is ESPN tied. Skeptic in me says a degree program or two makes too much sense for it to actually happen anytime soon. Can always hope.

    Malek Young UM CB

Hope he heals up and gets his degree. Wish him all the best. Hate to see this for anyone.

    Scheduling

Alabama’s strength of schedule was hurt because FSU unexpectedly stunk after losing the QB in their game. Alabama dominated when FSU was at full strength and was ranked #2 at the time.

    Roof

I can accept being beaten on a play. Badly missed tackles, playing off receivers 10 yards on 3rd and 5, especially the slot man running free on a slant is preventable. Rushing 3 and playing off all receivers in 2 minute drill is virtually a certain score with clock stopping on every first down -...

GT must win next week or we are basically eliminated from winning Coastal

Hope Walton heals completely from the surgery. Hate to see that for anyone. It's time for GT to hang onto the ball. Turnovers cost us last year in this game. Even or better in turnovers, and getting our Oline people back and I like our chances.

Thoughts from my Offense and Defense Slow Motion Review:

One question on long passes, especially to A backs: we repeatedly run the outside receivers deep on the same play. This enables the defensive backs to peel off and play the ball. It happened on the long interception where the aback ran free but the corner came off the wideout to pick it off. The...

    2015 Warmest Year on Record

https://www.gfdl.noaa.gov/global-warming-and-hurricanes/ This is based at Princeton. "It is premature to conclude that human activities–and particularly greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming–have already had a detectable impact on Atlantic hurricane or global tropical cyclone...

    BDS Attendance

Could be worse. Central time zone could start at 11. There are only 6 or 7 home opportunities a year. I don't care when they kick - let's play ball. Last weekend without a game wasn't near as much fun.

Which was more detrimental to FSU?

Just came across he is out for year. So sorry for him and a loss for college football.

    GT Bowl Projections

There are 120 or so teams in bowl system. Our recruiting usually is somewhere between 40-70. Over time, that should be slightly better than .500 depending on who we play, injuries, ability to out think/execute competition, etc. Occasionally better, but that is out-punching our weight. Any bowl...

    Ted Roof's job

Hey - we got better as the game went along. D gave up 250 yards and 17 points in Q1. Only 400+ and 31 in the other three quarters combined!

You guys know we won the game today, right?

If we let Switzer loose at the line of scrimmage in the slot without attempting to slow him up: he will have 200+ yards. Sadly, we almost never put someone up on the slot (or TE for that matter) at the line and bump them. The free release at the line is another reason we rarely get to the QB -...

    The Key To Beating Duke

How about we actually block and tackle consistently? Until that happens, everything else is noise. Do that and it won't be close. Don't do it and we likely lose.
