Thought it would be fun to do a mock NFL draft from the perspective of GT. It could give us insight to positional value or where people think our weak spots are this year.
Assume every draftable player has 1 year of eligibility remaining. Use http://www.drafttek.com/2016-NFL-Mock-Draft-Round1.asp to determine which players are available in each round. To keep things simple, assume GT has the 8th pick in each round (.333 winning percentage would have been 8th worse in the NFL).
(8) Shaq Lawson, SDE, Clemson
(39) Jeremy Cash SS, Duke
(71) Su'a Cravens, OLB/S USC
(106) Adam Gotsis, DT, GT
(147) Evan Boehm C/G, Missouri
(182) Rees Obhiambo G/T Boise ST
(229) Keith Marshall, BB, Millbrook High School
Don't feel great about this draft. But this is harder than it looks. Passed up on elite offensive skill positions early & didn't draft a CB. Didn't intend to go defense first 4 rounds. My 2nd round pick may be skewed by a certain, miserable, wet day in Fall 2015.
Anyone else want to take a crack?
