One of the baseball team's stated goals is the "WIN the state"...there are 11 games (20% of the schedule) against Georgia teams. Will try to keep this updated every week or so. Here we are through 1st weekend.

On Tues, Ga Tech gets first bite at the win the state apple.

uGag is being thought of as a likely Omaha contender. I'll take 2-1 over them.

After tonight, I think Going 9-2 overall would be very good.

Here is a snapshot of where things stand on "Winning the State" entering Week 3 of the baseball season. Obviously, the goings on in Athens and Atlanta are huge this week; but there are other matchups occurring today (Tues). UGA completes its season series with Kennesaw St; and the unbeaten Mercer Bears take on Ga Southern.
