I'd say Ted 1 and Hess 2. In the 2004 uga game in athens, Ted let Jonas Hayes play football for 40 minutes on Luke.

The issue with TV Teddy is that you could have scripted in advance what would happen:

- Moses hasn't been in foul trouble all year therefore TV Teddy will put him in foul trouble on some touch fouls.
- Moses would get called for a couple of fouls in a row in a very small span of game time.
- At least one "incident" where the TV camera all go to him in some dramatic moment ("the throwing the visor moment").

All of this is predictable when Teddy is on the floor. And because it's predictable he's the worst ever.

Ted Valentine is an equal opportunity abuser. He threw Bobby Knight out of a game. He threw an Auburn fan out of a game. He has had run-ins with North Carolina players, the Cincinnati coach, you name it. College basketball can get a little dry at times. It needs this guy and his theatrics.

The Pitt game crew was pretty good. They weren't perfect, but I have to give them credit for going to the monitor and reversing a call. Not every ref will take the ego hit of getting it right vs having their judgement questioned.

Yep, nobody is perfect. It’s what you do when you make a mistake (or might have) that separate the men from boys and women from girls. Take a minute and make sure the right call was made.
