Got me thinking after watching another winnable road game slip away from the stands. Curious who here has the best & worst records watching our guys in enemy territory.

For myself, I’m 5-12 (5-6 from the sidelines when I worked for the team as a student, 0-6 in the stands 😬)

Wins: 2016 uga, 2016 Gator Bowl v Kentucky,
2018 Louisville, 2018 VT, 2018 UNC

Losses: 2015 ND, 2016 Pitt, 2016 UNC, 2017 Clemson, 2017 UVA, 2017 Duke, 2018 USF, 2018 Pitt, 2018 uga, 2018 Quick Lane Bowl v Minnesota, 2023 Ole Miss, 2024 Louisville

Wins: Ugag (3), NC State, Miss. St., UNC (3), Clemson (3), Wake, Louisville, Notre Dame (Gator Bowl).
Losses: UVA, Maryland, FSU (2), Clemson (3), Ugag (4).
So, 12-11. Guess I've been reasonably lucky on the road.

I couldn't tell you what my actual record is, I'm only 40 but I forget. I know in the past 3-4 years I have been to about 12 games and only won 1. Worst losses were the Citadel and VT on a Thursday night. Just watching the implosion from the stands hurt the most those two games. I am not sure if I turned into bad luck because I got to watch a bunch of wins under CPJ. But since he left I feel like the bad luck charm, if I drive down for a game we take an L.

I’m too old to remember so many games, but most memorable away game I attended was Citrus Bowl 1990.
Least fun was losing to Navy in Annapolis roughly 1976, played badly and weather was bad, at least the fans weren’t obnoxious.
Off topic, but most memorable basketball was in Tokyo, I think 1986 vs SMU, not a big game but crazy setting - half the obedient crowd told to cheer for us, other half SMU, very organized. I sat right behind our bench, could hear every word from Cremins.

Overall Record is 6-3
Wins - UGA, Boston College, Maryland, UNC, Wake Forest, Notre Dame
Losses- UVA 2, Duke
Obviously never going to UVA again

Not so good in neutral sites 2-5 (would be nice to be at a Bowl Win at some point):
Wins - Boston College (In Ireland), ACC Championship vs. Clemson
Losses - ACC Championship vs. Wake Forest (that one still hurts), ACC Championship vs. FSU, Iowa (Orange Bowl), Utah (Sun Bowl), LSU (Peach Bowl)

When did we play Troy, Citadel, Western Carolina and Northern Illinois away? Must have been the 50's & 60's?.

Citadel and NIU were both home games, and we have never played games at Troy or Western Carolina. Did you understand the prompt?

Think I’m 9-8. 1998 appears to be the greatest season in GT history by this metric as I went to UNC, NCST, UGA, and the Gator Bowl.

I am 1 - 5 in regular season road games; 3-5 if I include last year's bowl game against UCF and the ACC Championship game against Clemson.

Oof. Cannot remember all of them. Far too much drinking. I do remember wins at Auburn, Notre Dame, and Miss State, as well as multiple bowl games (Notre Dame, Kentucky). I also remember losses at Ugag, Clemson, Penn State at tge Meadowlands, and ACC Championship Game against Wake, as well as multiple bowl games (Iowa, WVU, Ol Miss).

UGA 1-2 or 3 forget which. Saw the Jackets beat Georgia in 1970 17-7 in a game that was never in doubt. Mike Wysong (RIP) caught a long pass from Jack Williams right in front of me in the old end zone stands at Sanford Stadium.

Auburn 1-1 Saw a game in the mid 70s at Auburn when they were heavily favored but the wishbone and ELI tore them up.

Clemson 1-1 Both relatively recent. The loss was when they killed us when Reggie was quarterback.

I’ve learned not to go to Miami and stay away from bowl games against LSU. I do have fun in Miami. Their fans are crazy funny and their younger female fans are almost always completely off the chain. Hard not to have a blast down there. LSU does have an abundance of loose women, so there’s that, they just kick our butts up on side and down the other. Nobody kills us like LSU.
